An ion drive? Why don't they just fuel it with redshirts? However, this is pretty awesome. Building the hull, reactor, engines, and gravity wheel are actually the easy parts. The hard part is figuring out how to handle food, water, oxygen, and radiation shielding (ie, life support). And making sure the Klingons don't try to blow it up. But even then, there's plenty of letters in the alphabet.
