It will never stop, because our government profits off this "War On Drugs". We supply the cartels arms, they supply us drugs. We distribute the drugs, DEA does their job, people arrested, more profit. It's all a game to them.

I'm quite worried for all my family that lives down there. My parents. siblings and I live in the states but pretty much our entire family is still back in Mexico. I really do hope they are okay. My grandparents are really old now, and not to sound like a douche but they seem like they are on the verge of passing away, and most likely my parents will want to go down to Mexico to see them when they do or before they do, but I feel like I wouldn't have the balls to go and then would feel horrible for not going. Also I would fear for the safety of my little brother and sister and my parents if they did go. ;_; I sound over dramatic....may be due to the fact that it's like 12:30am here and I've been sick the past 3 days. For those unfamiliar with the scale of corruption within Mexico, I strongly recommend you look up a man named Pablo Escobar. He was a Columbian drug-lord who brought the government to its knees. The situation in Mexico is tenfold.

The cartels have been doing this for years, only Mexico's incompetence to stop it before has entire armies doing this in Mexican soil. In fact, they can't even stop them now. Not counting the corruption there(a country that needs a revolution, anarchists). If only people stopped doing drugs and giving revenue to these groups, they would be nothing. And legalization won't work here, those cartels aren't gonna give up their money. [Edited on 05.14.2012 5:43 PM PDT]

This is a surprise? this has been going on for a long time now, that you didn't hear about it doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

Maybe Americans should stop buying drugs and funneling money to these cartels.

They all say they would. The No. 1 thing that will help make Mexico a better place is those ridding those cartels. Hell, even illegal immigration would probably see a drop. I am sure many illegal immigrants are running away from the cartels. [/quote] Immigration has equaled out. [Edited on 05.14.2012 10:27 AM PDT]
