Think about this for a second before you blindly say yes. If 343 Industries announced that they are going to be remaking Halo 2 just like they did with Halo Combat Evolved, would you be fine with it? There would be new graphics, new music, as well as either Halo Reach or Halo 4 multiplayer.
-
no i want Halo 2 back.
-
No, CEA was a failure. They needed to have the entire multiplayer with updated graphics and instead they redesigned them for Reach. Reach has broken spawning and gameplay mechanics are extremely noob friendly. I would rather them remake a Halo 1 online multiplayer arcade game first.
-
I would buy the game. Although, they would need to make the multiplayer the same as the campaign. I hate how they used the Reach engine for Halo CEA multiplayer.
-
The old/new graphics running side by side was not the problem when it comes to Co-Op lag. The problem was the base game its self. They were committed to not changing things in the engine so it was hard for them to create a working Co-Op. They did the best they could with the Halo community on their backs about this stuff...
-
H2A would be a great idea aslong as the game did not lag in coop. If this would be the case then i would hope they just run new graphics ,and not old and new side by side. as so many have said this is the problem.
-
I would love that.
-
I myself would be fine with a Halo 2 Anniversary, but I don't think that I would buy it unless I had friends that would want to play co-op.
-
Only if it is an updated version of Halo 2. That means new graphics and new soundtrack (both being able to change to classic), and an updated version of Halo 2 multiplayer. If they just dump it with Halo 4 multiplayer, I'm not buying it.
-
Yes. I would be extremely fine with that.
Posted by: jross1993 Why not?
Because somehow releasing a remake of a game that doesn't end up well ends up hurting the original game. Makes no sense but what can you expect from people that have unrealistically zealous love for something? Truth is, I think this would be great. I'd love to see what they could do with it. If it turns out great, awesome. If it turns out bad, who cares? I still have the original Halo 2 on the Xbox. There's no loss unless you have some strange idea that the game will "Lose its integrity" because of this. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Don't even pay attention to it. Just continue on with what you like and don't say "No" just so other people can't get what they want. [Edited on 05.02.2012 10:24 PM PDT]

even if we don't get to relive it's amazing multiplayer, i'm still down for HD online co-op
-
I'm excited at even the prospect. Too bad that the multiplayer would most likely be through the latest Halo title. :(
