What are your views on "game" clothing.

Most of the kids at my school that wear anything related to gaming like a Halo hoodie or a Left 4 Dead t-shirt get talked down on. Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image. I don't care for it but I would never wear anything game related like a Mass Effect hoodie or anything at all. The only exception to gaming related clothes I would wear is a plain black t shirt with a Gears of War omen on it. Not because I like the game but because I like how it looks it seems to be my style and since my friends aren't hardcore gamers and the only game big in between them is Gears of War they would think it's pretty cool / not care. Honestly I know most people don't care what other people think of them so I understand if I was into game clothing I wouldn't care about people laughing behind my back as long as I was happy. So what do you think? Is it begging to be laughed at? Is it just something no one would care about? Is it something people give compliments on? [Edited on 04.08.2012 6:12 PM PDT]

 • I have 2 halo t shirts, a UNSC hat, and a Halo 3 beanie. I'd wear them proudly to school, because most kids play Modern Warfare 3 and would talk smack to me.

 • It's okay if it's something subtle or unobtrusive. If it's not obvious it's a gaming shirt at first, it's a good idea. An example would be your Gears of War idea, but that's pushing it a bit. A good example would be something like this. [Edited on 04.08.2012 6:08 PM PDT]

You're essentially saying that you're beyond an average gamer, and to the point where you're probably somewhat of a dork/loser. • I don't wear any game t-shirts at my school because everyone there are Call of Duty fans. Only one time I put my Halo Reach t-shirt on I get talked down to. "Call of Duty is better and takes more skills harr har!" or my favorite "Call of Duty is better because it is balanced." I really didn't think anyone would really care that much but I guess they do.

 • I don't see what the big deal would be if you wore a T-shirt with Bungie on it, or even Halo. To be realistic it is no different than wearing a band T-shirt.

 • I've got several Bungie-related shirts, and they've never hurt my social standing. I've seen anywhere from delinquents, to social leaders, to social outcasts wearing video game clothing. It's just clothing.

 • I will, occasionally, wear my Assassin's Creed shirt, but that's only because it looks like this. It doesn't flat out say "Assassin's Creed" or anything on it. It's just the logo. This means that the people who recognize it are gamers and will obviously not care. Those who aren't gamers and don't know what it is will just see it as some fancy design. Other than that shirt? No, I would never wear any game-related attire.

 • Same here at my school. However, I'm just too shy to admit that I'm a bit jelly...I would kill for a Portal shirt like the one Phillip DeFranco wears. But that's the only thing I'd wear to school.

 • I'm cool with them as long as they are tasteful. A lot of them are not really something I would like to wear in public. The only gaming shirt I wear in public is my Street Fighter shirt because it looks great and it's designed by one of my favorite artists. I usually get a lot of compliments on it too, so I'm straight with that.

 • I don't care what they think. I need some gamer clothing. Most of the kids at my school are ghetto kids who think they're all "gangsta". GAMER PRIDE!

 • I always wear a Boba Fett hoodie, but I never get picked on. It might be because I'm known as "That Kid" who everyone wants a class with because I'm a clown. Or it might be that I'm a midget and I managed to beat the -blam!- out of a douche who picked on me, and now everyone fears me. I doubt they're scared of me though. Anywho, I like to see gaming clothing worn on people I know to be gamers. Not so much on people who call themselves nerds, but are actually scene kids. [Edited on 04.08.2012 6:01 PM PDT]

 • I get it. It's showing your appreciation of gaming, just like people showing their appreciation of sports with jerseys. But I wouldn't wear "game clothing" unless it was really understated.

 • It doesn't bother me in the slightest. People wear shirts that express their interests in things like Music, TV or general pretentiousness so why not videogames?

 • I don't want to be rude towards anyone indirectly, but I think "game" clothing is really stupid. But, I really should add, I don't care if people wear it. [Edited on 04.08.2012 5:57 PM PDT]

 • I wear it on occasion. Never get bothered. People I know are usually jelly. I have a GoW 3 Omen tee, A red vs blue tee, a Minecraft hoodie, and a "Burn bright Burn Blue" tee.
