Most of the kids at my school that wear anything related to gaming like a Halo hoodie or a Left 4 Dead t-shirt get talked down on. Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image. I don't care for it but I would never wear anything game related like a Mass Effect hoodie or anything at all.
The only exception to gaming related clothes I would wear is a plain black t shirt with a Gears of War omen on it. Not because I like the game but because I like how it looks it seems to be my style and since my friends aren't hardcore gamers and the only game big in between them is Gears of War they would think it's pretty cool / not care.
Honestly I know most people don't care what other people think of them so I understand if I was into game clothing I wouldn't care about people laughing behind my back as long as I was happy.
So what do you think?
Is it begging to be laughed at?
Is it just something no one would care about?
Is it something people give compliments on?

See? I can judge people by what they wear too!

I mean come on, I really like their clothing but wearing only that is just shallow.

The type of people who make fun of people who wear game clothing are typicaly the same people who wear Twilight T-Shirts or shirts for trash bands no one has ever heard of .
-
I don't see why anyone should be concerned about their appearance. :)

Clothes with the game on it are laughable and embarassing. That being said. I regret wearing that CoD blops shirt. If its subtle or people don't really know about it. I'll wear it. Like my Chupathingy shirt or behemoth sneakers. Or even my 20th anniversary bungie shirt. Because they're so uncommon people have to guess [Edited on 04.08.2012 6:19 PM PDT]

Most gaming-related wear that looks decent, is just recognizable between fans. That's the stuff I would wear.
-
I don't see anything wrong with it.

If it's not obvious it's a gaming shirt at first, it's a good idea. An example would be your Gears of War idea, but that's pushing it a bit. A good example would be something like this.
That just literally looks like something a 8 year old kid would wear it was designed for a kid after all. It would just look stupid to me.
it's just a -blam!- striped shirt Fine, then something like this
That doesn't look weird of funny but It's just not my style. I can see people wearing it though.

I don't wear gaming tee shirts but I've never seen one worth buying. I doubt I would get made fun of for wearing one, at least by anyone who matters. I had one shirt referencing Superbad one time but it got stained.
-
I wore my Zelda shirt and got a few compliments.

Most of it is pretty ugly, but if it looks good, I'll wear it

If people can wear jerseys of their favorite teams and atheletes, I should be able to wear my Aperture Science shirt.

I have 2 halo t shirts, a UNSC hat, and a Halo 3 beanie. I'd wear them proudly to school, because most kids play Modern Warfare 3 and would talk smack to me.
