Most of the kids at my school that wear anything related to gaming like a Halo hoodie or a Left 4 Dead t-shirt get talked down on. Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image. I don't care for it but I would never wear anything game related like a Mass Effect hoodie or anything at all.
The only exception to gaming related clothes I would wear is a plain black t shirt with a Gears of War omen on it. Not because I like the game but because I like how it looks it seems to be my style and since my friends aren't hardcore gamers and the only game big in between them is Gears of War they would think it's pretty cool / not care.
Honestly I know most people don't care what other people think of them so I understand if I was into game clothing I wouldn't care about people laughing behind my back as long as I was happy.
So what do you think?
Is it begging to be laughed at?
Is it just something no one would care about?
Is it something people give compliments on?

I probably wouldn't wear it.
Posted by: YahwehFreak4evr I've got several pieces of gaming clothes. >_>
Same here! I have old school Mario and Zelda shirts, and some newer Bungie and Bethesda shirts. All well worth ordering.

Well I'm not a t-shirt type of person myself. However the t-shirts I do have, reflect most of my interests. Like I have a Left 4 dead t shirt, a halo tea bagging shirt, lord of the rings shirt, nyan cat shirt, etc etc. I don't wear them all too often, but it's nice when I do wear them and people stop to say "Hey, I love that game/movie"

I wear game clothing, WWE clothing, all kinds of stuff like that. And I don't care what people say.

I would LOVE to have a plain black shirt with a Gears of War omen on it... that would be sick, seeing as Gears is my favorite game series.

I don't care unless it's some nerd/loner wearing it. That just helps people to stereotype gamers. If you're a normal kid, go wear what you want.

If I had any gaming clothing I would wear it in public.
Posted by: ArmedAssassin72 I wear a N7 hoodie everywhere and sometimes get random high fives when I go out in public.
I would defiantly give you a high five, while also wearing my N7 hoodie.

I'd wear something if it's not too out there, like a shirt with the Assassin's Creed logo on it or something. I'd never wear one of those graphic tees with a huge picture of a game on it though. I see a lot of people at my school who wear things like that and they never get picked on or anything. Could just be because I go to an engineering school and basically everyone plays videogames here though.

I've worn game apparel right through my school years and into adulthood with pride. It's my hobby and my passion; gaming has been a central aspect of my life for almost two decades now. Halo, Half-Life, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Portal. I put my love for all of these gaming franchises on display every day of my life and I don't regret a minute of it. If someone judges me negatively because of that, then they're not someone I would want to associate with either - I doubt they do it to every person wearing a sports shirt or band shirt.

-
I wear Subtle gaming shirts. Stuff that Gamers will pick up on, but everyone else will just consider a cool design.
-
Well I see a lot of Zelda and Mario t-shirts worn around school, but thats mostly because Hot Topic always sells them. I personally don't care, if the shirt looks good and is comfortable why not wear it?
-
I only wear my game shirts at home.
-
I wear a portal 2 Wheatley Shirt, Reach shirt or a Sonic shirt sometimes. I don't get negative reactions. Usually positive. I mean, this isn't the 80's or 90's. video games are very mainstream now.
-
If you are legitimately worried about what people will think of your video game swag then you need to get some self confidence and work on your self esteem.
-
I don't care, as long as it's not overdone. If the clothing is branded subtly, there's nothing that makes it stand out as weird. Then it looks good.
-
Haters gonna hate on my N7 hoodie.
-
I honestly don't look down on people wearing it. "Gaming" clothing is no different than a piece of clothing sporting a TV inspired quote or graphic. I honestly would wear some "gaming" clothing.
-
I get major props for wearing game related gear. Then again, I am pretty much a boss anyway.
