What ever happened to Halo 3 PC?
I heard a lot of talk about it then... Nothing?

Well what happened was people started to not give a -blam!- anymore. Mainly due to the fact that neither Bungie (at the time) or the now in charge of the Halo series 343 industries decided to make it.

The last 360 exclusive that got ported if I remember was Gears of War? That, and if the rumours about Windows 8 being able to play 360 games are true, then there would be no need to port them. Whilst I am for this feature, I can't see it happening as Microsoft haven't commented on it yet.

Same thing with the guy that tried to make/fix a ranking system (or was it just bitmap editing?). Ah well...

Nothing. Halo 2 fared badly on PC because Hired Gun ported it badly. It was a console game pretending to be a PC game, with numerous bugs and missing features. The modding also took a step back, from the Xbox version and the original Halo on PC. Halo PC showed that Halo can work on PC if ported correctly. Unfortunately, it seems that the Halo 2 port was rushed and released before it was truly a PC game for Windows Vista. I don't think after disappointing sales M$ will try again. I would like to see more Halo games on PC but it seems unlikely at this point.

MS can't make a proper PC game and are too cheap to hire someone else to do it right.
