I have a fresh theory on the Y-shaped glyphs. It has been a while since I last played ODST, but I recall almost all glyphs having one or two dots. Maybe the glyphs can be used as directional signs, or maybe they guide the direction on the closest Y-shaped intersection so you can find the next 'instruction'. Ill try this during my summer break.
