Credit Resets - 5/24/2011
Good afternoon,
We have executed a round of Credit Resets with a temporary Credit Ban for accounts which have habitually exhibited idling or "AFK" behavior while playing in Firefight Matchmaking. We'll be keeping a close eye on all of the accounts which we have taken action against. Further action will be taken if necessary, up to or including a temporary or permanent Matchmaking Ban.
When you idle or "AFK" frequently you're causing a negative impact on the enjoyment and integrity of the game for other players. Anytime you are in a Matchmaking session of Halo: Reach you are expected to be actively playing the game, we award you Credits in good faith and trust that you are earning them. Violating that trust by earning Credits that you don't deserve and negatively impacting the experience of other players will result in the removal of Credits.
Furthermore, using network manipulation to splinter a matchmaking session so you can benefit from games intended for groups of players is not acceptable. When you do this you deprive the other players in your session of a teammate and you degrade their online experience. We have provided a single player Firefight playlist called Score Attack which you can use if you wish to play alone.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A separate thread will be created and monitored for as long as we believe necessary. If you believe your ban was a false positive, you can post a request for investigation. Only use this thread and request an investigation if you are absolutely sure that your ban was a false positive, if we take the time to investigate your account and find that you do have idling or "AFK" behavior, we will place an extended Credit Ban on your account.

You might as well as give up, it's futile just go to halo 3 for a while sit back and play some matchmaking or customs halo 3 was better than reach anyway.

Okay so I did AFK, but I got banned for it. I was than unbanned and proceeded to earn credits than randomly got banned again, this time for 2 weeks + my rank got reset. I know I was banned a while ago but I have tried to get in contact with bungie, sadly no luck now this thread is my last hope, why did I get banned? Can you look into it bungie? I did nothing wrong I swear I would never do a bad thing twice and I learned my lesson. Please, oh please Bungie, can you have mercy on me and restore my rank as a Field Marshall? As I said I have learned my lesson and tried to contact you about my unfair ban, also if it's to late to restore my rank, can you please just tell me why I got banned? I know the ban happened a while back but I have tried to contact you guys with no luck. Sorry for reitterating my self multiple times I just wanted you to get a grasp of the understanding of what happened and why I did'nt post in this thread sooner. Please end my worries of what I did wrong by telling me why I got banned, mainly because of no clue why I got banned it has scorched my mind for about roughly these long 2 months, possibly even longer. Please look into it and thank you for making such an awesome game franchise that has got me into video gaming for the past 10 years. Good bye bungie, I will miss you from all these memories this game has created for me. Goodluck with your next project.

what the hell. I was unbanned collected credits and was banned at the beginning of the very next game. Seriously Bungie if you are gonna pull this crap then you had better at least send people a message saying why they got banned. How am i supposed to avoid being banned if i dont even know what im doing wrong. clearly its more than cheating or being afk.

Is bungie still checking this thread. I'm trying to get unbanned. I didn't do anything. Sunday I was playing reach with two friends and one of their girlfriends. Friend A was playing on his own account. Due to the skill levels of the two guests we were consistently losing but at no time was anyone AFK, quitting or cheating. Later after Friend A gets off I start getting messages about being credit banned. The only possible reasons I could see for this happening would be the one time we were all kicked when one of the GUESTS accidentally betrayed someone. This was one time in like 20 games. If its about us losing who cares since four people is a full team in just about every game type, and regardless it was the guests that were doing poorly to begin with. If they don't wan't guests playing then go back to the setup in 3. All I want to know if how I get unbanned, and preferably why I was banned in the first place. Any help would be appreciated

LOL i got on yesterday and it said i was cR banned STILL after almost 2 months of not even touching Reach so i took my disk out and found it usless to me so i broke it in half.... should have recorded it and put it on youtube

can anyone answer my question? here it is: a few days ago i was playing campaign (winter contingency) and i got credits like normal, but im sitll credit banned. so i exited the game to see if i could get credits anywhere and at the lobby it said "this account has been temporarily banned from earning credits." and earlier today i was playing it again and killed a few skirmishers and got credits but then it said "this account has been temporarily banned from earning credits." does anyone know whats going on? SOMEBODY ANSWER PLEASE! That and i got credits for 2 whole days 2 days ago and yesterday i went to see my cousin and when i came back home, my brother was playing (he is horrible, commits suicide, betrays, misuses power weapons) and my dad said he was playing all day. so i got on and it says i was credit banned. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHATS GOING ON PLEASE TELL ME.

DANG IT!!!! I went to see my cousin for a day yesterday and i thought my credit ban was lifted 2 days ago and when i was gone my brother was playing (hes the WORST player i know) so...when i got home earlier it says im credit banned. WTF WTF WTF?
