  • Atkins- That is the easily the most thought out and well written halo 3 wishlist I have ever seen. Instead of the classic 'this sucked, change it', you actually laid out clear arguments. Great ideas too. A map editor would be great, maybe as a second disk, or maybe as a download for pc: have the maps created on a pc, then ported to the 360 using a jump drive or something like that... It would allow for more editing than on a 360.

  • Frankie, Towards the start of the trailer, when it shows further back the road, there's this "wave" effect going on, and then some smoke appears and the Master Chief walks out from it. What is this effect that's being used in the background, just heat rising off of the roadway? Or maybe, some type of portal that he came through? Also, would it be possible to seeva widescreen-format (preferably 1440x900) of that new halo 3 wallpaper? (Maybe for future wallpapers as well. =D) -xFrappe051 [Edited on 5/12/2006]

  • to miked: oh, I imagine there will be quite a resistance going on...Just because they have taken over a planet doesn't mean they have conquered all of humankind...the marines have always been rather spunky in the halo games... and here are my thoughts on Live Anywhere: Bungie. I love you. Please don't make us play with the PC gamers. I play on a console for a reason...and more importantly, I imagine it would be MUCH easier to hack and cheat with a computer... but there are tons of things to love about Live Anywhere. The aforementioned map editor would be awesome. It could come on the CE. It could be digitally distributed, for a price, to the PC. And then we could make the maps on the PC, then ship them over live to the 360 hard drive, and share them, P2P, in custom games. So if you want to play user created maps, play custom, Bungie created maps, matchmaking. oh yeah, and please keep user friendliness in mind. GRAW was a great game, but it could be so hard at times to get into a dang game. And then when you got in, the host would line up all the highest ranked players on his team, the start. And then you might get booted ._. Halo 2 was awesome because you could just jump into a game. I loved that about it. It was easy, and it was fun. And I can't believe there are more graphical goodies we haven't seen, that dwarf those we have seen. That's pretty amazing. If the game looks exactly like the trailer, it would be an amazing achievement. But if it looks better? That would be nearly unthinkable, at this point. Once again, thanks for all you do.

  • so help me God we just had halo 3 ANNOUNCED like 2 days ago and people already are asking for Halo 4 THERE WILL NEVER BE A HALO 4...EVER.....well maybe not ever but for a long ...........long time maybe like 15 yrs when the games are considered classic

It is a Classic... Its Bungie :) ( I don't think there will be a Halo 4... At least with this story line and Point of View.... Altho... A map editer always raises the grade point avg. of a game. A game could be 7, but with a good map editer, it comes to a 8.5-8.8. M.E. extends the "Fun Factor."   • Thank's for the great update! First we had Marty's cool new soundtrack, and then his kickass trailer music. A part of me dies and is reborn every time I watch it. Just to end yet another hundred theory threads, do the books have any relation to the game plotwise? Or are they relatively independent of each other?

  • YAY! The Assault Rifles back my favorite gun, because it shoots in full auto super fast and has an insanely long clip :) now just bring back the old pistol, or atleast put in a special gametype with the old pistol only :) please Bungie with Mr. Chief on top!
