Bungie Weekly Update
Hey guys, a Q&A about the trailer which answers a lot of the questions we can freely address.

Now we've always assumed that each of these Halos were just weapon-platforms, but in the first game Cortana said the Forerunners referred to them as "fortress worlds". It is also fair to assume that - while at the start of Halo 1 there were seven rings - there might have been 10 of them as Plato's story suggested... (wait for it) In the trailer, the top of the structure in the crater looks similar to the control centers on the other Halos, but because it's on Earth it can't be a Halo itself. Is the structure in the trailer the city of Atlantis; buried by the devastation caused in the 100,000 Year War?[/quote] I always thought Alantis was involved in some way, but i could never really connect it. Ello All, Just one Question/Request. since the release of the real time demo for halo 2, The Battle rifle had a single fire mode when it was scoped. is there a way to possibly seeing how it seems that bungie is bring back the AR, perhaps giving the option of full auto 3-round burst, of single fire, seeing how the battle rifle was so prone to running out of ammo so fast,(and yes i know weapon switching and proper weapon load for the right job makes a really big difference) but the battle rifle in my mind is one of the most reliable weapon in the game. Can you at least give us a slight tid bit on the AR/Battle Rifle for the game ::On knee's Holding hands together::Please Frankie Tell Us........ [Edited on 5/15/2006]

But believe me I have done some serious comparisons and the barrel is no were near 4-6 inches. Atleast thats not represented in the pictures. Anyway the gun cant be too accurate because it doesnt have a scope. Its pretty much gotta be a fully auto AR with possibly slightly more accuracy. [/quote] al im sayin is that an extension would need to be atleast 4-6 inches to serve purpose. Scopes dont have anything to do with accuraacy....does it help....of course.. you making the object alot bigger in "sight" but a scope only makes the target biggerit does not make a gun more accurate...put a 2 inch barrell on the sniper with the badass scope and all your gonna get is a nice view... and not good accuracy aan accurate 1. The only difference i se in the new AR ... and thats the only speculation i have on the reason for the barrell to seem to look longer. Its obviously not the standard Arrault rifle . Frankie confirmed it. this is from the update. Meeper asks, Why is the Assault Rifle in there? Who says it's the standard Assault Rifle? Doesn't look identical to me… [Edited on 5/15/2006]

I hope one of the staff reads this. Will the vehicles that you wanted to use in Halo 2 but couldn't because of various issues be used in Halo 3? I really wanted to have a motorcycle.

The sword can be dodged, and is usless at medium range. The AR will prob. be the best gun for close- semi mid range, like it should be. hey do u know if the splinter cell origonal and mech assult origonal work the same way they do on the 360 that they do on the xbox..... kuz if they do then that means that people will be able to mod it right? or have they come up with a patch for it.... jsut wondering if they're going to screw up halo 3 like they did halo 2 wiht the ranking system...... o and last will they be able to detect mod chips... yea in halo 2 i'm a 26 but it doesn't mean anything ot get it higher ebcause alot of people i know are level 36's but they're all modded or boosted, or standbyed or something stupid like that......

Hey I was wondering if most of halo 3 is going to be on earth this time. I mean in halo 2 it said "Earth Will Never Be The Same Again" but i was disappointed that it wasn't mostly on earth. But it still was a REALLY good game ^_^.
