The question is pretty simple, do you think that an advanced alien race would take an interest in humanity? I have my doubts, seeing as we'd be frustrating to deal with if they opened up communications and we don't really pose a threat (we're barely space-faring), so unless they decide they want Earth or they decide to observe us or something I doubt they would take much of an interest. What do you think?

The history of our universe is so long, an alien race could easily be millions of years ahead of us. They'd probably view us disdainfully as lower beings. I suppose that a group would care about other intelligent life, but the vast majority, having advanced space travel capability would have other things to occupy them. Ripped off Contact by Carl Sagan
