Noble 6 is the Rookie now with definite proof
As seen on [url=http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/5056/floodguts.png]Bungie's Christmas card[/url] the Rookie and N6 are the exact same size, so it is obvious that they are the same person, as already hinted at extensively in both ODST and Reach.

Well he could have downgraded because he couldn't cope with losing his whole team. Now that's saying if he did live which i'm pretty sure he didn't, I mean he was gang banged by elites at the end of Reach after all. And it isn't uncommon in the canon for spartans to downgrade after all Kurt became a spartan 3 when he was picked to be in command of them. They could be related or close friends, but I doubt that, but then again who knows.

Actually Reach takes place in August 2552; ODST takes place in 2553. Only months pass between the glassing of Reach and the invasion of New Mombasa.

Buck and his squad come back, kill the elites before the final blow is dealt, give Noble 6 ODST armor to replace the armor he's lost (Extensive damage), and they go to Earth. How else do you explain a regular ODST being able to take out an entire army of Covenant? Also, Noble 6 Armor Locked.
