To those who are Solo Players (Including me)

I've been in the game since Taken King in D1 and in beta in D2. I enjoyed every last moment of D1 and D2 solo which are Story, MatchMake PVP, Strikes, Gambit ''Sometimes'', and Exotic that do not require others. Nowadays or forever in Destiny, times are rougher when looking for a fireteam that has KWTD wording which is understandable in their view, and certain weapons that people want you to use or in videos of best DPS weapons are Raids and Dungeons granted Dungeons can be solo but for some, it is best to have a fireteam. what I am trying to say is, that there are plenty of options to play the game, like me, I just do Stories, season content, Strikes, a little PVP, exotic quests, and yes even Gambit. There are good weapons that one craftable and obtainable without raids and dungeons. To end it, play what you feel comfortable with. It's your game, your character, and your entertainment. Besides raids and dungeons will always be there if you want to go for it after all they are optional. Now that the old veteran of Destiny 1 & 2 is done talking, I want you all to have a good time, be well, and be entertained. I will all see you in the Final Shape. 🙂

  • Whilst not disagreeing with you, my issue is that the content you mention eg strikes, Gambit etc, have had very little love in recent times. Now they are stale and dull because we’ve all done them a million times over. Two…three? Gambit maps means the amount of repetition just doesn’t interest me and, at least for the moment, the same old strikes and battle grounds (ugh!) have become too stale to play. As they say, familiarity breeds contempt, and in my case it has. If there was strike specific loot or they could just reintroduce the strikes from destinations we no longer visit, just to freshen up the rotation, then that might drag me back into the activity, but the current ones, alongside Dares of Eternity, another unloved facet of the game, have become too uninspiring. I don’t raid, have never done a dungeon, I’m simply not good enough, so I’m just collecting the ‘new weapons’ and trying out some old ones until TFS drops, but I do feel that as a solo player I would be far more heavily invested in only Bungie occasionally looked at freshening up what they had, rather than introduce yet another 3-6 person activity with rewards which are, in my opinion, a little lacklustre.
