Random Steam Account Linked To Cross Save
Hey,
Recently moved over to PC so decided to download destiny after not touching it since just before the release of witch queen. I've gone to link my steam account to the cross save but there is already one allotted that I have no correlation too, I've never made a second steam account and have stuck with the one i use currently since creating it. I cannot remove the account due to me not knowing the login information an steam support is not being helpful either as they say the account has not been dormant long enough for termination. Was just wondering if anyone has anything that they could possibly help to fix this issue or anything i should do. Kind of sucks if i have to do the 90 day reset thing but I'm currently playing of epic launcher so I wouldn't mind.
If anyone has any tips or guidance it would be heaps appreciated.

That Steam account could only have been added by someone who knows at least one of your logins, not just the visible profile name, but your actual login username, plus password, of one of your platform accounts. If you have not done so already, you should change your passwords and consider setting up two-factor authentication. If you're unable to find out how someone obtained your details, your accounts may never be safe. Bungie does not forcibly unlink accounts from a cross-save setup, meaning if it's an account you are unable to authenticate, for any reason, it is unfortunately stuck. Cross-save can only be cancelled by the user, and this is a mandatory step before accounts can be unlinked. You mentioned Steam and account termination. If an account in a cross-save setup is deleted by the platform, then it can no longer be authenticated and will forever be stuck in your cross-save, account deletion is not a solution.
