The og special way was 1000% better than any other dumb ways to get special.

When you spawn in with special and when you kill someone with special they dropped it.

In that system, I found that a lot of players mained special. Many charged around with it, knowing they’ll get more if they die. I prefer the idea of primary being the main weapon and special being used for key moments. However, I do think it would be good to also have modes/modifiers where there is a lot of special ammo, for players who prefer that.

I mean that is true but the people who usually play like that aren't necessarily good at the game and can easily be out played but since special isn't really a thing anymore they just sit in the back holding hands because they don't wanna wait/try to get special.

I’ve ran into many special players who are good with movement — they’re hard to hit and can quickly close a gap with a shotgun. If you don’t also use a shotgun (which I generally don’t) you have to do a lot of backpedaling. That style of gameplay was everywhere and I’m glad it’s decreased. Yeah, the special meter can be a bit too restrictive. I’d like it to be more generous than it is. I think somewhere between the old system and the current special meter is where my preference is.
