The grind for the catalyst ar a torture.
Why is it so got dame bullshit rng on the catalyst??? Like you do 50 strikes and no god dame catalyst. It just make me wanna drop the game. I like it when you need to grind for an item or so but this is just stupid. When you finally get a catalyst it is for a weapon you never use. Make it like you can grind for a specific catalyst ffs

1 ReplyTo all the people claiming "These Catalysts came from hard missions, you just want a hand out". No, not every Catalyst came from a hard mission; some have always been random drops. Thorn is the latest, but things like Sunshot and Rat King (at least I'm pretty sure Rat King is one of these) have always been drops off Playlist activities. There have always been too many Catalysts for them all to have their own unique acquisitions.

Agreed. Drop rates for a lot of things has been trash. Unfortunately, Bungie only wants players to play longer. Not actually enjoy that play time. That's in part why drop rates are so -blam!-.

2 RepliesCatalysts aren’t designed to be grinded. They’re designed to be acquired as a rare “extra” reward on certain occasions. And catalysts weren’t designed to be “farm-completed”, either. It was something that showed you were a big user of that weapon. Don’t ask to change things that don’t fit the original purpose of something.

My man there is nothing terrible about a strike or crucible match. We need participation trophies for the participation trophies now… Edit : Also I know how to get them to drop more, but I wont tell you. Because its there to find in Google, very easily, what you have to do so they start dropping more in the playlists But people hate to search for a solution first or even look up if anyone else is having the same issue.

Keep grinding! Everything is done in this game so that you spend a lot of time and in the end result this weapon will definitely be broken and nerfed as they usually do!

Run nightfalls, they seem to have a much higher drop rate, also I think comp does as well.

There used to be exotic missions for those guns ... Where were you back then ??? Blame bungi for changing the game but back then the game was amazing before they sunsetted stuff , you should have been there man . It was so easy to earn catalyst if you did those missions cause some of them dropped as random , yes . But there were not so many yet so it was way easier to get them back then . Catalyst like the ones for sunshot are almost impossible to get right now or whatever catalyst you are looking for . Just do whatever you like and don't focus so much on getting that certain catalyst man . Just have fun and eventually it will drop ..

Dog piling: the amount of kills to finish is far too many. Like damn Jason I want to use the complete version, but using ahitty version without cata makes me not want to use it after I've filled it up as my memory for that weapon useage is a subpar weapon

Which catalyst? Is the outbreak perfected catalyst out now? So much stuff to keep track of these days. Woe is me. This embarrassment of riches is so terrible that its embarrassing.

Strikes are too easy so a very slim chance, Hero Nightfalls and The Iron Banner have a better chance.
