If it's not a continuous laser beam like chaos reach, if it's not throwing swords like daybreak if it's not a 1 time throw of massive damage, what else are you expecting them to do with it? I'm genuinely curious
No way you wanted it to be a roaming super. Warlock's already have daybreak, shadebinder, nova warp and stormtrance
The issue with warlock isn't variety. It's balance. Why use anything when Solar Well lock is about 10 times better than anything else. The other subclasses need to either be buffed or solar well lock needs to be nerfed, which i'm almost certain it will in final shape since warlock's will be getting a new solar super.

An actual melee based super! We still haven't gotten one! Though I wish it for voidwalker!
-
If nova warp melee without the bad hit detection
-
Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/8/2024 11:28:07 AMEven silkstrike (hunters strand roaming super) has its fair share of bad hit detection in PvP, has its flaws so that's not just nova warp exclusive lol
-
I'm saying nova warp doesn't have hit detection problems since you don't have to do any lunges you just explode. Plenty of supers with worse hit detection than silkstrike.
-
Goootcha fair point
-
I wamt something more like vampire lord from skyrim
-
Here I was thinking Needlestorm was one of the coolest supers in the game lol! Multi-use, great damage, spawns tons of threadlings.
-
Exactly I was seriously happy with it. People just try everything they can to be reductive with things "Oh my god it's literally just nova bomb" no, it's not. It just happens to be a damage super like blade barrage lol
-
The super should have intrinsic suspend detonations
-
Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/8/2024 12:55:08 AMBut the super already has threadlings which can rack up multiple kills after you first pop it so Thread of Binding will suspend targets through that
-
It was supposed to turn you into a giant spider that shot exploding spider babies. But apparently that was too much for them. Smh

Well is fine. The seasonal artifact decides what is meta.
-
Well has been meta EVERY season since forsaken.
-
Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/8/2024 1:05:03 AMWell isn't fine my guy it's literally the best super in the entire game lol Doesn't matter how difficult an activity is, just have 2 or 3 well locks and it's easy
-
Well isnt fine at all lol. Its too strong and does too much. Just have to look at crota's end day one. They designed crota to prevent staying in a well by allowing him to one shot wells. The optimal strat used : 5-6 warlocks chaining wells lmao. It trivializes every encounter. Its the fastest super to charge in pvp (even stronger in this dumb d2y1 primary meta) And the neutral gameplay is the best for both pvp and pve. It has too much, and thats why they stated well is getting a nerf in final shape
-
Edited by Obi-Juan: 4/8/2024 12:58:02 AMYup. People just don't like things being balanced. Because well is so good, there's literally no reason to run anything else other than to prove a point by putting like twice or more effort in to get stuff done when you can just stand in a well with almost no thought. Well overshadows literally everything warlock has and forces bungie to cheese us in raid encounters with annoying things like boops etc because inside a well you're virtually unkillable whilst literally standing still for an entire 30 seconds
-
And also because they try to counter well with their design philosophy... Not having one is often just a suicide. Try doing crota or nearec with no well. First : it takes longer because you have to survive. Second : you will have deaths in your team. Also you charge your super more slowly since you arent dealing damage in a well

If you move around Crota right, he doesn't break wells or bubbles.
