Throwing Knife Spam is horrific. Especially the bouncey ones
These are miserable and there’s 0 reason someone should get a free 1hk by throwing a knife at the floor or the wall just because the devs are incompetent.
Sure I’m a Hunter main, I get it, but it’s annoying and you expect me to take this game seriously?
Make it to where it can only do 50% damage at most, this is ridiculous. 0 skill involved. Whenever I die to these it makes me want to spam slurs in the chat
Edit: this is mainly directed towards the exotic that lets the knives bounce behind walls and cover for a no skill kill

This is why I loath streamers like saywallahbruh, they spam click bait titles lure people into think every nonsense niche is op, when you can easily google the usage rate and winning rate of the thing

Well, the non-exotic enhanced ones only do 212 to the head now. Tier 0 resilience sticks your health + shields at 216. So bouncy knives it is.

the knives can still miss, i've been using the build (it might be just cause its the first time ever using it) i can only get a few knife kills with it, it relies heavily on map geometery and push of the enemy, it discourages using cover alongside rifts and barricades because it makes those abilities nearly useless against throwing knifes, which imo is fair, because this tactic requires at least 4 rapid headshots, an ideal geometery near the enemy players, and i'd say that its very counterable if you jump at the right moment, its a fun, even good, and sometimes broken feeling exotic, but what about players who just sit in rifts and titans who use their void barricade everywhere, hunters have one really good counter against it, as well as this counter working against people who push in narrow and short hallways. You might see youtubers getting a lot of kills with it but in those videos it is a lot of the time only the times it got kills, like a montage.

I’m a Hunter main and yeah, they’re a lot. They one shot, have really good tracking (I can’t tell you how many clips I have of them literally curving like 45 degrees in the air and killing someone), refund your Dodge, refund themselves, AND grant a damage boost. All for the low, low price of one fragment and an aspect you were going to use anyways.

6 RepliesArthritis needs to scale its number of hits for activation depending on the weapon type. It takes 3 within 2.5 seconds of each other. In an Auto Rifle meta, that's absolutely nothing; for a Hand Cannon or a Scout, it's effectively a kill. The only saving grace is that not too many people are using it. It's mad that there is a one-hit kill ability with negligible setup, very little aim required, and it can potentially recharge itself [i]and[/i] Dodge. I think there is skill to the regular version, but with the Exotic it is ridiculous. What irritates me more, though, is that the other classes have no equivalent. I mean, can we talk about Gunslinger having 4 melee options that are all distinct and have their own builds, while Voidwalker is stuck with 1 that does less damage than a standard slap?

17 RepliesThe only knife that can 1 shot a player is Weighted with a headshot, and if max shields don't go down 100 when HP goes up to 100, you won't be able to 1 shot anymore. Maybe with an exotic, but honestly, this is a skill issue. Knife spam is no more broken than hammer spam.

I recommend graduating up to a Hunter if you feel you are ready. It takes a lot of hand eye coordination but after a few months of practice you should be good to go.

The arthrys knives aren't exactly no skill at all. You gave to get at least 3 precision and then hit a "valid" angle. We definitely don't want an Arthys meta, though, and reducing their damage won't stop them from being strong. The best way to avoid them is to keep moving the knives only correct on the second bounce of you're not where it aimed after that it should miss.

And its got a higher skill floor than the other two subclasses. The bounce can be ridiculous I will give you that. Personally I use lightweight knife. Edit: I stand corrected, warlocks do not have a 1hk melee.
