It’s like a rolling cycle of ‘soft’ sunsetting. The old gear isn’t taken away or power level limited. It’s just re-re-re-released again (a different coloured Hung Jury was a drop in onslaught), but with new perk possibilities. It would definitely be good to have some further clarification. I’m thinking they won’t give any more detail, as they’re not sure how far to push it yet.
the new and reprised weapons you collect from the Prophecy dungeon and from Guardian Games All-Stars, as well as the new weapons in rotation for Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, and Nightfalls, will all retroactively be enhanceable when the Final Shape releases on June 4. So, keep this in mind when you start earning the following weapons: Trials of Osiris The Prophet Scout Rifle The Summoner Auto Rifle Iron Banner Tusk of the Boar Grenade Launcher Multimach CCX Submachine Gun Nightfalls Wild Style Grenade Launcher The Slammer Sword Guardian Games All-Stars Taraxippos Scout Rifle The Title Submachine Gun Hullabaloo Grenade Launcher Prophecy Dungeon Prosecutor Auto Rifle Adjudicator Submachine Gun Relentless Pulse Rifle Judgment Hand Cannon Darkest Before Pulse Rifle A Sudden Death Shotgun
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/this-week-in-destiny-03-14-24

Adepts from root and Crota. Anything that came after the march 5 update. I believe that's it for now.

Edited by AppleSoda: 3/25/2024 3:35:24 AMThe way I’ve read what they said is that every new weapon that was added in the mid season update (Guardian games weapons, Slammer, Wild Style, Summoner, The Prophet, Multimach, Tusk of the Boar, and all of the reprised Prophecy weapons) will be enhanceable. What I assume is the intention is that this will simply be standard for every new weapon being added from now on (so I would assume the weapons coming in April will be included too) and will not be retroactive for anything older than what we got last update. They have not confirmed this, but it would be consistent with their philosophy for big expansions as they very commonly add something new (random rolls, origin traits, etc.) to make the newer gear objectively better than older gear so to encourage players gradually upgrading their arsenal as opposed to using the same stuff from years ago.
