I feel a bit sorry for them. Been playing a bit more on Neomuna for a long time.
The world is mostly empty, I'm pretty much always spawned in less than three players.
And then, these player try to play an activity and usually fail, because one shot of pretty much everything. And almost no damage with normal weapons.
But if you want to play Strang, you have to play there. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them put Destiny aside and look for another game.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 3/23/2024 11:53:49 PMIt's so strange because the Neomuna patrol zone's mechanics are nothing new really. Veterans are not obviously gonna care for it. Yet they tuned it almost FOR veterans. We don't want them to just crank the dial for patrol zones, we want them to actually change them up and stop using the same formula they've used since 2014 lol. So many strange decisions that led to Lightfall flopping so hard. The only thing they got right about Lightfall for new players was the raid was super easy, but most new players aren't gonna get that far let's be real. So it was wasted and only served to fuel the fire of "lightfall bad". A crazy amount of poor decision making.

I was on Neomuna yesterday, and over 5 people in the area I was in, kind of annoying when I had kill X amount of ads, but everything was dying quickly Also seen 3 level 5 Guardians doing just fine. Maybe you need to learn to use cover
-
Bc the expansion is a year old. Life goes on. I don't "feel bad" for someone for a digital product lol There are numerous activities that have low player counts. Life goes on.
-
Neptune was a disaster from the word go! The whole the game has to be harder and more build dependent has cost the company SO much this past year. Bungie would never publicly admit that it was a mistake. They continue to double down on the harder is better content ideology, onslaught is more of the same.

The Legend Himself: GONZO
GONZO - old
Yep. Enemies are too tanky and Nimbus is intolerably annoying. I avoid it as much as possible. But hey, the streamers and YouTube community love increased difficulty so I guess they’re happy. That’s what happens when you base your decisions on what people who play this game for a living think. -
The tragedy is that Bungie knows the Neomuna experience is poorly designed, and they never did anything to improve it. Threshers killing guardians in a patrol area as if they are playing a Nightfall? Ridiculous!
-
Neomuna had so much potential too. Just pathetic.
-
Neomuna is the worst destination in general. The other world, especially the original destinations, feel truly designed. Neomuna feels like a hastily thrown together without a plan tech demo map where things they wanted to do got scrapped. If anything they should just put the Red War back in, remove Lightfall, and just let Strand exist as something you have with no explanation. No explanation would be better than the trash fire campaign they delivered in Lightfall.
-
The destination is a huge let down. A downgrade in size from its predecessor, the throne world, and in many ways incredibly misleading from the advertisements. In those they showed us the guardians traversing through skyscrapers, fighting rooftop to rooftop with a vast city to explore as opposed to what we have now fighting in literally three small districts with very little verticality fighting just more open plazas than anything.

Edited by BraveDragonWolf: 3/25/2024 4:07:25 PMDo people completely ignore the state of the traveler? Bungie may not have explained it but, they're showing enough of it. It may be safe to assume this, and I'm not expecting people to be motivated by this and change their thought process about Destiny's hard difficulty but, when playing on modern content (Mostly Neptune), the enemies have the upper hand because...oh, look! What's that god awful looking triangle thing on the traveler?! It's in the hands of the Witness and we don't know why we feel this way. If the final boss and his army would be super easy to beat, that it only takes a fireteam of 3 to beat him then...what's the point of going through all this? I hope it takes two teams of 6 to beat him.
-
They need to open up and let players buy strand meditations with glimmer.

Edited by Muffincup: 3/25/2024 6:09:08 PMI hadn't played my Hunter in literal years. Got Strand all finished between Warlock and Titan, and I wanted to rake my eyes out just doing Warlock. I got a few things for Hunter, but I still just don't want to engage it at all, to finish. I got, I think four good abilities I liked and just said "screw it" for the rest. I should probably do some more, but I'll get to it when I get to it. Oh wait. I've gotten two Strand abilities for my Hunter.😂 I had to check when it came to mind.
-
Only thing I enjoyed while on Neomuna was collecting the action figures. Besides that, Neomuna was dead and dull. Both due to environment and enemy spawn/balance. Reward balance is also dogsh*t on that planet.
-
I actually embarrassingly liked the gameplay on neomuna. But ohwell.
-
It's so empty that whenever I go there and try to do anything I get annihilated by the super tanky enemies.
-
So true. It's a shame though, because it's a beautiful planet, but it's very difficult to move around without getting killed almost instantly before you could even do anything. 😊
-
This is the only DLC that can be put into storage right now, and no one will notice or regret it...
-
Imo, that's just destinations. The only. time I spend on patrol zones is the occasional strike that takes me through them. And I rarely run strikes.
-
Edited by LegendWatters: 3/24/2024 8:11:56 PMMy son created an account and wanted strand so bad but he couldn’t do a thing. I had to carry him through the entire campaign and quests. I told him he’s just out of luck if he wants stasis lol.
-
Depends if they’re whimps or not. Get it together and put some thought into your build and strategize or sure leave the game aside as you said.
-
There's been a lot of terrible decisions this past year but making patrol zone enemies one hit kill is the stupidest one. I like the aesthetics of Neomuna but I never go because it's so annoying to play. I genuinely wonder what the devs were thinking.
-
Nimbus is insufferable, and if I wasn’t looking for a few more red borders I’d never go back either.
-
But boy what a cod piece that dude has..
-
Bungie: It literally fits our narrative…😉
-
It’s hard out there for new lights!
-
Yea dude. Check out this video I posted a while back. Pretty much sums it up.
