Why do Hunters, the knife class, not simply use their knives? Are they stupid?
I don't want to go around punching the -blam!- out of my enemies on Arc Hunter, that's for the crayon eaters. I want to stab stuff with my pointy knife that I CLEARLY have, but choose not to use? Please Bungie can we have knife animations on the other subclasses instead of just Solar?

Staff is usually tied to the Monk in fantasy/rpg games. So it's just natural to bring out that flavor of melee aesthetic.

Somewhat plausible in-universe explanation: Hunter Arc punches are [i]so fast[/i] that using a knife would slow them down due to the additional wind resistance. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

It would be awesome if the hunter arc knife looked like a thunderbolt and had like a cool animation when he throws it that could cause bolts of jolt and lightning.
