Dang near all the scout ruffles in D2 Seriously blow. Bad perks, jumpy, or fire super slow, and feels really boxy and elongated. It's crazy how bad scout rifles have felt since the start of d2. And all Bungie continues to do about it make small buffs. And add new perks.
Take some chances to mix it up. Try something new Please !!!
I'm a scout rifle fantastic that's the only weapon I really cared about from D1 to d2 .
You had sooooooo many great options in scouts in D1. Not just options but Amazing great brilliant options.
Since the the time gambit launched the only scout I have used is nightwatch that and patron of lost cause are the only scours that feel ok. Not great not good but decent . And we can't even get new updates drops of those are reskins.
A big part of why scout rifles feel so bad is the aim when zoomed. That's a big part of the reason sooooooo many guns in D2 feel like trash. The aim when zoom is horrible
Why dose the gun have to be set right in the middle of the screen when aiming?, Why not pull back the cam and give people more of a to the left or right over the shoulder view ??????
Like we Had in D1? I know you guys said you changed it because of people hard scooping in trials. But Jesus that should not affect the whole pvp side of the game. Or weapons should not suck because a1 game mode .
The change to zoom, and camera Angle is absurd. It makes scout ruffles and sniper rifles feel like trash in game.

Bungie straight up said they want scouts to be the worst primary so don't expect anything they even said they don't plan any pve buffs.

Edited by Rebel Scum: 9/7/2023 5:36:59 AMI was looking at my vault on DIM and came across Treads Upon Stars with Crowd Control, Explosive Rounds and Firefly. Crazy roll. Burning Eye, Badger CCL, Cocytus-SR4, Colovance's Duty, Cryptic Dragon, Chaos Dogma, Hand of Judgement, The Wounded, Keystone 01, Suros DIS-43/47, so many great scouts back then.

I mean if your gonna bring back anything and make it Strand bring back some of the Gheleon's Demise, or Colovance's Duty , the cleaver dragon. Bring them back as strand or stasis scouts, or but allow for the fire fly perks to roll with things like threatlings , I say stasis scouts should get a fire fly perk that after . Add maybe a perk called snow glob. Where when you get a head shot it dose a paused release ice explosion on enemies. So that they can walk back into their groups and spread said explosion. I want a scout rifle that Sounds like dead man take when loading and firing . Not these werid soft sounding wet paper spit ball sounding shots. Give the guns more personally.

It’s funny how the highest dmg rpm scout is the worst for kill time overall, even in Pve I was using it in spire and didn’t even kill red bars on headshots minus literal thralls.

I have a god roll of it. Yep. It sucks. Badly. -
It’s not like it’s new either lmao

It has to compete with transfiguration and Jade Rabbit as a q50 in the kinetic slot. Then has to compete with glissando and terraxipos as a strand scout. Fall short in both categorues for me.

Edited by zxionisus: 9/7/2023 5:18:38 AMFor PVE, Hung Jury is still where it’s at for me, which is why I have 3. One has rapid hit and kinetic tremors, another has surplus and firefly, and the last has subsistence and frenzy. I also have a few staccato scouts with solar burn. They are the best…they are fantastic. Randy’s Throwing Knife is great in PvP with the right perks. My favorite is perpetual motion and kill clip. The new void scout, Brya’s Love, is good and it’s craftable. Mine has enhanced perpetual motion and frenzy. Servant Leader and Taraxipos are also good PvP scouts with the right perks. Scouts are my thing ever since D1, year 1, Another NITC and OG Vision of Confluence.

I also love Scouts, but I can see why Bungie is concerned about giving them too much power, as you could safely sit very far away and plink the enemies with no risk. However, there are very few situations right now where there is a benefit to using a Scout, because their range isn't needed and the way they're tuned makes them feel really bad up-close. It's the same for Snipers, as you note; they don't do anything that can't be covered by a different weapon type that performs better elsewhere.

Blade Of The Traveler - old
A gutshot explosive payload Guardian Games scout feels like a D1 scout to me, like Badger CCL -
Generally I have no use for 150s anyway
