You’re complaining because of your lack of skill level and blaming it on Bungie?
The reason your gain little point and lose many is because your hidden MMR is lower than the actual skill level you’re playing at. If you want to gain more points and lose less then you have to play better.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the current system for competitive is garbage. SBMM is to blame, it’s a failure of a system that doesn’t belong in any video game, especially a ranked playlist. You can thank the casual players for that one.
But, just because the current system is garbage doesn’t mean it’s unfair. If you can’t climb that’s not anyone else’s fault but your own. If reaching platinum is a grind that’s not anyone’s problem but your own.
If you can’t reach the rank you want you shouldn’t be able to receive the rewards.

Imma be real with you, I am in fact mad cause bad :) Also jokes aside from what I’m seeing due to skill based matchmaking it doesn’t really matter what my k/d is, so you really do have to kinda get lucky.

At least balance the gain/loss, losing 4 wins worth of points just from losing one match is ridiculous. Really, what's the harm if winning and losing gives +50 and -50 respectively?

I remember that in MTGA ranked they did ranks using a single points based system. Essentially each rank was about 10 points, and wins usually got you 2 points higher each time. For the first few ranks there usually isn’t a penalty. Then when you get to silver a loss loses you a single point. Getting higher than silver and you lose 2 points for every loss (and Tbf mtga does have a different form of a competitive ranking, but the you get what I mean) Why can’t they do something like this, instead of this stupid points based algorithm bs
