Trying to enjoy games old

Blizzard listens to the community why is Bungie not doeing the same

This content comes from my country Tweakers.net website Blizzard: We made a mistake with previous patch Diablo IV Blizzard has indicated that the patch 1.1.0. of Diablo IV has led to less positive experiences. We will no longer be implementing such patches. The patch changed the stats of character builds and made parts of the game more difficult. Community manager Adam Fletcher said during a so-called Campfire session that reducing "player power" does not lead to a good user experience. "Sometimes we miss the ball," he says. "We will never implement such patches again. We heard you right," says the man. Blizzard wants to avoid similar scenarios in the future and will therefore no longer directly intervene in character builds without offering an alternative. Blizzard will also release future patches at regular intervals and publish the patch notes a week in advance so that the community can be up to date more quickly. Patch 1.1.0 caused, among other things, that some stats of popular character builds such as the critical strike damage, vulnerability damage and cooldown reduction bonuses were changed. Some quest events have also been made more difficult. All this led to a lot of criticism from the community. The developer is now working on a new patch that will roll back some changes, albeit to a limited extent.
Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate. • They were fully confident in what they were doing to make the changes they made. That such an adverse reaction was a surprise is more than a little concerning and indicates they’re largely out of touch. I’ll reserve my opinion on whether they really are listening until after I see what they’re ‘undoing’ to fix their mess. So far it’s nothing more than an attempt at damage control.

 • Because there community is sensible and mature enough to engage with like this Bungie used to be just like them, untill Titans sent death threats to a lead developer over Twilight, and Bungie CMs had there family's security threatened All these "Look at other developer doing what Bungie does" posts are so ignorant, Diablo 4 is a tedios boring grind, with paid battle passes and lackluster seasonal content, might has well play D2 and Warframe

 • Diablo 4 lost an INSANE amount of players like it went down by like 40% very quickly after the announcement of the update so they HAD to listen. Bungie lost like 10% of their players for launching Lightfall and Season of the Deep. Don't think they're hurting enough to start listening yet.

 • There’s a huge difference between listening to your community and doing massive damage control to try and save your player retention.

 • Bungie does listen to the community. They just don't tell us they listen or what they say isn't well received by the community.
