Account Name Bugged

When I logged in, I got a pop-up that my name had been changed. The graphic showed my Steam name becoming my new in-game name, but my in-game name is Guardian[numbers]. I didn't initiate a name-change, and never received an email from Bungie concerning one, spam or otherwise. Certain friends can still see my old name. I tried joining these friends for some comp, but was booted both times immediately by error code olive (and got a comp suspension after the second disconnect, thank you Bungie). Afterwards, I joined a Quickplay match solo just fine. My Bungie.net name here was also changed, which I believe had a unique name separate from my in-game one. Again, I did not initiate any of this, nor did I receive any sort of message from Bungie. I believe the last time I played was last week Tuesday, and this was not an issue then. I am on Steam, but have Xbox and Playstation linked. What's going on? Is this related to the recent Steam login issues? Am I really going to need to waste my one name change to fix Bungie's issue? And yes, I did investigate error code olive. Bungie says to just join the activity again, and if the issue persists it's likely due to testing Bungie is doing, so again, thanks for the comp suspension for doing as you said. My friends appreciated losing their placement matches for being a man down.
