It's a video game. Nothing in it is "oppressive." Good lord.
The guns existed for like 3 days and you already want it nerfed.
SO sad.
Edit: Since apparently some people either don't have a scroll wheel or are lacking a thumb (more likely) to scroll mobilly, I think both TL and RF shoould be nerfed in pvp. Leave the gun itself alone. The gun is performing too well. This doens't mean it's oppressive, which was my point above.
If you think a fake gun in a video game is oppressive, you don't know what oppression looks like. That's right. Suck on my virtue signal.

This isn’t even good trolling. Swing and a miss!
-
Well yeah it'd be hard to be a good troll when im not trolling. sWiNg AnD a MiSs You peole...smh.
-
I know you have to be trolling. You’re saying there is no such thing as a very dominant weapon that dominates the sandbox in any pvp game? That is borderline brainless talk
-
That's not what I said. I said it's not oppressive lmao.
a very dominant weapon that dominates the sandbox in any pvp game
=/= "oppressive."
-
That’s exactly what that means
-
It's really not. lmao. Find me a definition of oppression that says anything about weapons or games.
-
Wtf. That is exactly what that means IN THE CONTEXT OF VIDEO GAMES! Done responding to you, you’re either just so unbelievably clueless, or you’re just a troll seeking attention you never received as a child
-
The rampant projection. I hope you get the help you need, champ.

Thought you were done :(

You know how this has to end.

You don’t seem to understand the definition of oppressive. A weapon (asset) can be oppressive in a battle space. See: air dominance in war
-
In an actual battle, yes. In a video game, no. I understand the definition fully, Jan. It just has no place when talking about video games lmao, like even remotely.
-
What are you talking about? For context, let’s put it like this. Sentinel shield vs a human in a 1v1. Because it’s a video game, sentinel can’t be oppressive to a lightless human? Guardians aren’t an oppressive presence to ads? A good sniper holding a lane isn’t oppressive? Cause it’s a video game? Not giving a take on the weapon as I’m a returning player (though smgs and pulses do seem to be in a really strong place right now) but any weapon that is so good, only that weapon can counterplay is by definition: oppressive.
-
Correct, nothing in a video game is oppressive unless we're getting into like meta themes. This is the definition of the word I use: "unjustly inflicting hardship and constraint, especially on a minority or other subordinate group." Using a gun in a video game, no matter how OP, is not that. It might be whatever colloquial way you use it, and that's fine I guess, but it's not remotely close to the definition above. Call it OP, but nothing about Destiny, with the exception of some lore, is the least bit "oppressive."
-
So (assuming smg in question is in fact op) it’s not unjustly inflicting hardship on a minority? As in, dominating the battle space when opponents don’t have it? A sniper isn’t oppressive when their skill far exceeds everyone else on the map? That isn’t unjustly inflicting hardship to a minority when they’re keeping guardians down who can’t hope to compete? You should stop. Oppressive has been termed in video games since before you were born.
-
I'll stop when I please but thanks for your unsolicited and unwanted advice lmao. And no, a gun in a video game is incapable of fitting that definition of oppressive lmao. You have no idea when I was born so you're just reaching elbow deep into your own -blam!- cavaty for terrible comebacks, and IM the one the should stop? Yikes.
-
This weekends meta in trials 1st place = Immortal Adept - 6.7 million kills 2nd place = Ikelos SMG - 3.8 million kills Yup. Not op at all. Oh and by the way, if we count the kills of regular immortal aswell, that number jumps from 6.7 million to 8.6 million
-
Usage rate =/= OP. I've already conceded it's very good (as it should be) AND conceded what needs nerfing (not the gun itself) if you read the replies. Not repeating myself.
-
Ikelos had the best stats of all 750s and Immortal blew that out of the water, beating it in every single stat except handling. Not only that but Immortal can make use of Adept mods to further boost those stats. And Target Lock. Oh Target Lock. As if being a melt machine wasn't enough already, Bungie decided to give it a perk that allows you to kill 8+ resilience players in one less bullet as well as allowing you to get closer to optimal TTK with body shots, and shred through anyone in a rift or with an overshield
-
Yeah if you read the replies like I said, im fully in favor of nerfing target lock in pvp, which would help this gun seem less insane. :)
-
False, have you really even played trials frequently? Why else would a weapon be the most used, and most kills weapon; other than it being the best option? It’s the same case as when Last Word ruled the high level console trials lobbies on any mid-range map.
