Let's be real. Cayde is dead because they didn't want to pay/rely on his voice actor. There is no shasme in replacing lesser characters and their voice actors. The only voice left you really couldn't replace is Lance Reddick. If he ever stops wanting to do Destiny I am sure they will kill Zavala too.

The problem is that goes out the window when you learn Nolan North voiced Cayde in forsaken, Not Fillion.

I get where you're coming from as actually making the decision to have Nolan do a few lines as him is notable, but I would point out in return that them doing that was surely reluctantly. A few of his lines were good and sounded fairly similar, but some were literally just Nolan North and sounded absolutely nothing like Cayde.

Not really as their comment stands, he was busy with other projects and to avoid scheduling issues its easier to just kill their character off. North had only a few lines in forsaken as Cayde its wasn't like he voiced lines throughout the entire dlc.
