The thing with crafting is that it also helps clear out the vault. No more “this may be good if Bungie wants to have an X meta” weapons. I’d probably have like 300 less spaces in my vault if all weapons were craftable. Plus it’s the perfect balance of having everybody on an even playing field. That was the goal of having static rolls in vanilla D2. This gives everyone that ability while also giving a grind to get to that point. Crafting had potential but they never found their stride with it from its beginning

I love the sense of progression of earning the ability to craft, and then the sense of progression to accessing the enhanced perks you want. Now it’ll just be either younger it or you don’t with no foreseeable end to a chase. Then it’s just, can this be enhanced? That’s it. I played more because of crafting. Now I’ll play less. Dungeons have always been like this though and so I’m done paying for them. After all that farming being fruitless I’m done paying for disappointing with no way to alleviate it.
