Wandering Weasels

Every time I try to connect from a hotel I get a weasel error code, but the console works perfectly fine at home. I previously have tried wired and wifi connections, talked the hotels into resetting the routers, I cleared the cache on my Xbox multiple times and eventually factory reset it. I just cannot seem to get to work on the road. Any help is appreciated but I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find. And my network connection tests solid.

  • Greetings! It is very likely that the hotel(s) have their network setup in a way where the proper connections can't be made to Destiny 2 and its servers, causing the weasel error codes. Since you said you can play the game without disruption while at home, it makes me believe that it is the hotel's network causing the error code. I'm not sure how open the hotel(s) you are staying at would be with having their IT department or ISP make network changes.
