For those unaware, there was a loot bug this week in trials. Additional wins on a 7 win confidence card granted a 50/50 shot at an adept Shayura. The card did not have to be flawless, and you did not have to be flawless on the week to get these adept drops. You did need a flawless on the season to purchase the confidence card, so these numbers are like this even with a large chunk of the population unable to participate.
We saw the most players, and most matches played, since the weekend of 10/22/2021. We're talking about more than 600,000 additional matches this weekend than the previous. Finally, even solo players had a good shot at farming Adept weapons. Sweat or casual, we all rely on a healthy player population. Remove the flawless requirement for Adept loot, and people will actually stick around in the playlist. Crazy right?
Last week I played 22 matches. The week before, I played 8. This weekend I played 156 matches! I'm not even joking, I farmed ~38 Adept Shayura's. Please, for the love of all things holy, make this a feature. Stop trying to figure out a problem that you already solved.
I'll see you all in IB, peace!
**Edit
I don't have that many flawless runs. I don't have the best stats. I didn't play much trials at all until season 14. This is all true, but I've gotten better over time and I pulled 24 flawlesses last season while racking up some sherpa medals. I've put in the time and effort, and yet I do not care if other people have an easier time getting adept weapons. I care about one thing, player population. So call me lazy, tell me that I want free loot with no work. I don't care. Come see me at the end of the season when under 200k people are playing trials over a whole weekend.
“Remove flawless runs to get Flawless loot” (essentially what you said)
That’s honestly the dumbest idea ive heard, hey look man if you run a GM and fail you should just have a 50/50 chance everytime a legendary drops to be a adept nightfall weapon

When I sink 40 minutes into a game activity, only to randomly get wiped by the boss and sent to orbit with nothing to show for it, that's really dumb. I think it's bad game design. May as well correct one wrong with another and give that chance haha

No. You failed. You don’t get anything. Try again. If you don’t win it, ya don’t get it.

You still need a flawless every season to do this.
You still need a flawless every season to do this.
Yes 1 flawless for flawless rewards every week

Edited by ACROCANTHUS: 4/14/2022 12:24:49 AMAnd wins on a 7 win card. Every week. Which aren't easy to get unless you're good enough to farm adepts anyway. So it's still going to take a lot of time for people to farm them.

I can farm them

Edited by ACROCANTHUS: 4/15/2022 2:11:12 PMWell yeah, but most people can't. If it was put in place, I'd definitely be for more flawless exclusive stuff so flawless still means something.

No. It would be like saying, if you complete 7 Legend nightfalls, then every Legend completion after that has a chance to drop an Adept weapon. It's rewards for time invested and overall wins, instead of rng and how many wins you can get in a row. Players like you, who are locked out of GM rewards due to light level could still put in a considerable amount of effort and walk away with a reward. While players that are above 1575 could farm GM's and get a guaranteed Adept weapon every 15-20 minutes. Removing the flawless requirement would help a player like you, way more than it would help me. Yet, here you are arguing against a system that would benefit you. Once again, a player with no flawless runs or GM completions this season is coming here to tell me about adept rewards. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
