Black Armoury should return as a weapons foundry
It was already kind of a weapons foundry and The forges are still in the game so why not?

Eyasluna, Hung Jury, even the exotic Gjallarhorn came back recycled and sold! Then they gave themselves a pat in the back. LMAO!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they'll recycle Black Armory guns again. Before you know it, right about when everything feels dry and underwhelming years later, they'll probably bring back Mountaintop and Recluse again, and all the other sunsetted guns. LMAO!!! They'll probably do this close to the end, when the community is getting hungry because of dry and underwhelming guns. Then boom! They drop the announcement that these guns are coming back. Everybody gets hyped in time for them to sell you their new IP, maybe a D3 or somethijng new game connected to Destiny. The community will eat up all that RECYCLED hype just in time for them to sell you something again! LMAO!!! Then they'll pat themselves in the back again! LMAO!!! This is typical here! Recycled hype. LMAO!!! The part of the community that doesnt think so well will praise them just in time for them to get baited into throwing money again. Rinse repeat! LMAO!!! State of the game!

2 RepliesThey really had something with the black armory, everyone (or most everyone) liked it, and look at that, people didn't have a problem doing the forges and the grind that came with it because it resulted in good to great weapons. That's the main problem with the weapon crafting right now, most of the weapons aren't worth it outside of a couple. They had a golden opportunity to bring back the black armory and tie it in with weapon crafting. The name is right there..... Armory..... As in craft your weapons at the black armory. I guarantee people wouldn't have an issue with grinding red border weapons and getting all the materials required if it resulted in a god roll blast furnace or ringing nail. They like recycling weapons except the ones people truly love. They could have brought that back, maybe tweaked the weapon crafting to make it more streamlined, brought back the weapons people love as craft able, then introduce some new weapons to go along with it, maybe even a couple new forge specific exotics ala le monarque

6 RepliesI will upvote anything black armoury related. Easily my favourite season. All the guns where awesome, the armour was sleek, the raid was fun. People hated the forges. But in reality you could shape a gun in 15-30 min so it wasn’t Grindy. I still have my curated kindled orchid and blast furnace. I refuse to break them lol

Come to think of it, i'm sure that Bungie will introduce black armory "mechanics" but you have to grind for the "patterns" for them for an eternity and when you have done it you have to create them with materials you need to grind for even more. Happy ending!

2 RepliesI think it would also be great if lore wise ada went and studied the darkness crafting thing on mars and learned from it making a new generation of Black armory weaponry stronger. Also, we should use that thing to bring back Drang and Mida Multi tool.

1 ReplyThe actual forges themselves are not, but the locations are. In truth, it would've made more sense to have Ada and Banshee handle the crafting. Ada for the BA weapons and exotics, and the rest to Banshee. But, since the data needed for those guns are still in the game, we could have the patterns for the BA and old guns drop as playlist rewards or as purchases from Banshee and Ada. Bungie could add them slowly over time (say 1 every week or two) after considering what perks would be viable to that gun, and have the more powerful perks locked behind the gun's level and/or a higher cost

13 RepliesBecause the Forges we're Destroyed after the Black Fleet and Darkness moved in. Ada-1 literally says that the Forges are Lost or Destroyed. She's literally the only Forge left.

2 RepliesWord of warning: If black armory weapons come back DO NOT expect ANY of them to have the same insane rolls as before. Kindled orchid probably won’t get rampage/kill clip. Ringing nail probably won’t get dragonfly/rampage. Tatara’s gaze probably won’t get snapshot/kill clip. Bungie wants loot with insane rolls like this tied to endgame content. If these come back, unless there in a dungeon or something similar, they won’t be NEARLY as good.

I agree and Black Armory weapons were my favorite in the game. They should come back and come back better than before. I like a lot of what they’re doing with the game but the lack of straight forward damage buffs on crafting weapons like Piece of Mind is boring. I’m completely dependent on builds to compensate. When ability nerfs start to happen it will quickly show up. This isn’t something they can just tack on either. I’d love to have a Blast Furnace 2.0 or Kindled Orchid 2.0.
