Warlock main here who runs exclusively blink
I've been a lover of blink since Destiny 1 bust in in current form blink just doesn't feel good
The power fantasy of being able to teleport around the world has been ruined by the flow-breaking need to stand around and wait for the ability to jump again
I understand in PvP where movement abilites can give you the upper hand in a firefight that blink is incredibly strong in the right hands however for a jump ability to almost require you to exclusively use 1 exotic piece in order for it to feel good (Astrocyte Verse), IMO is not good
I beg you Bungie please show blink some love
In a perfect world there would be no cooldown at all but for balance reasons I know that can never happen
I propose instead then a couple of ideas:
1.) Only impose the 2 blink cooldown in PvP/Gambit & remove it entirely in PvE
2.) Give us a cooldown timer on screen similar to that of icarus dash to remove the need for having to guess if you're able to blink again
3.) Set the cooldown between individual blinks as opposed to every 2 & allow the mobility stat to dictate the cooldown duration
I'm sure there are many blink users that have been yearning for a change and now that Void 3.0 is out and people are experimenting with new builds, I think a retune is well desearved to freshen blink up a bit and make it more appealing to newcomers
Oh and please, please, please, for the love of the traveller let us blink in social spaces that allow double jumps without the need of having a sword equipped!

Immunity frames! Thats all it honestly needs, it used to have it on D1. It was only ever busted because the game ran at 30fps and players couldn’t keep their reticle on blink players because of limitations. We no longer have that issue, the game runs at 60fps on console, even higher on pc, reticle can easily keep up with a blink player and we have a ton of ways to counter a blink shotgun player. Its about time bungie reverts blink to what it was designed to do, “blink” not stretch out my hitbox and getting me killed because someone simply shot at the trail of the blink.
