Let me preface this by saying this is a semi rant, semi cry for help, with a splash of WTF. I started playing D2 because some "friends" I haven't seen in almost a decade were on it, and used the time to socialize, catch up, and play together. Needless to say, I joined their clan, and one or two individuals helped guide me through the game, or on quests/events that pretty much require a fireteam (i.e. Nightfall, Outbreak Perfected, Shattered Throne, etc.) Then, after one of them offered to carry me to get Luna's, he told me to f myself and that I don't respect the game, and the rest started excluding me, blocking me from private chats after avoiding me, one of them finally man'd up and said nobody wants to play with me, that they were tired of helping me and that I need to learn to play the game by myself (for the experience), or LFG for everything so I can learn to appreciate the game. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought this was a community based game, and isn't that was what a clan was for - helping each other out, and avoiding things like LFG's if need be? Is this how all clans are? Am I wrong for asking for assistance? If so, maybe I should try to be like Datto and grind out everything in solo. Or, maybe this is not the game I thought it was.
