Bungie could have solved this by adding a fan fiction sub forum. A place for the fan fiction writers to post up their stories without concern for other people getting bothered by it not being tagged correctly etc...
I remember thinking that Bungie's reasoning for not giving fan-fic a proper home was illogical and downright wrong headed at the time. Their decision doesn't seem any better through the passage of time either.
Bungie could have solved this by adding a fan fiction sub forum.
They had it. When they condensed the website it was folded into lore.
Their decision doesn't seem any better through the passage of time either.
There is a lot of things I could list which I disagree with, but it's about the functionality of the website AND our app which allows us to transfer gear. Those services are now all linked together, and I don't need my guns disappearing like they used to.

I doubt that the basic item management functionality of the app would be impacted by an additional sub forum. However if it is then consider that we currently have the six sub forums for Companion - iOS Companion - Android Companion - Web Help - Website Companion Help - iOS Companion Help - Android Companion If sub forum space is at such a premium then I'd suggest that something could be done within those areas, as a lot of the content within the first three 'Companion' sub forums would fit perfectly into the 'Help' sub forums. That would then release capacity to allow the fan fiction sub forum to be recreated.
