Veteran or Service members emblem
Hi first time ever doing a thread on a forum.
Longggg time bungie supporter. Love the game love all the inclusivity of all the emblems! I wanted to know if it was something that could be addressed or talked about making a specific emblem for us veterans and active duty/ military personnel. Personally I know hundreds of veterans and allies who would support this and I think if you donated the proceeds to help combat homeless veterans or the proceeds to stop 22 veteran suicides every day like #OperationZero or WWP would be a great move and show support to a die hard part of your fanbase. Thank you for making such great gaming community! See you all in fight guardians. PS- Happy Veterans day to all my fellow vets. <3

1 ReplyIt could be a picture of a boot or something. Doesn’t have to be tied to the US. Every country has some type of military, fire, police and medical.

If bungie doesnt want to do something for veterans day, that's fine. Plenty of people dont. I didnt serve and go to combat for a discount at olive garden and a digital emblem. However, if bungie did want to raise money for veteran suicide/PTSD awareness with some type of emblem, I would surely donate. I've lost too many friends to PTSD and the more eyes on the topic the better.

While you give an emblem to the transgender community you completely disregard the ones who fought, bled and died for this country. I have lost some of the closest friends I ever met to the war on Terror during my time over in Afghanistan. I will say that your comment on you all being an international organization is utter bullshit. Do you not read your History. Want to talk about international then look to the beaches of Normandy or the Island of Iwo Jima, how about Korea and Vietnam. Those are only a few of many international or overseas conflicts where not only US troops but troops from counties such as Canada, France, Spain, Germany, England, Russia ect i could keep on naming. I believe that you should recognize the WORLDS MILITARY VETERANS not just the US Veterans and give us an Emblem. Thank you and to all my veterans no matter the war or country of service thank you for your sacrifice.

Going thru the two threads it's obvious this is a bit touchy of a issue. I feel that if they decide to recognize vets it's going to have be for the meaning of their sacrifice, and not oriented to a specific country, I'm American and I'd be pissed if it was a red white a blue emblem honestly I think if they did a emblem taking their rise of iron symbol, change the axe to a sword facing down and put it on a white background with a kind of foggy look would best suit this. To me it would represent their strength and the idea of a strong defense. While the fog being supposed to represent the struggle left behind and those who never got to leave it

This reminds me of the "thank you for your service" episode of curb. Where 7 people in a row thank the vet for his service, then Larry doesn't, because literally 7 people just did seconds before. And the vet was APPALLED and it like, destroyed him that someone would have the nerve to not thank him for a job he chose to do for pay and benefits for the rest of his life lmao. Like damn, that's a pretty sweet gig. Sign up for a 4 year job. Get paid for it. Get the gi bill free college. Get free va benefits for the rest of your life. Get discounts on just about everything. Next to no down payment on a home you plan on buying. AND, every single person you ever meet from now until you die is somehow in your debt personally, and owes you a thank you and how dare they imply otherwise. Kay.

The world outside of the USA is seeing you as aggressors, always fighting for the unjust causes. I doubt anyone outside of the USA want to celebrate you.

I know you Americans often struggle to see beyond your own borders, but there's a lot more to the world that just America. Veterans day is an American thing and has no meaning to a huge proportion of the player base. Bungie may be based in America, but their customers are from all over the world, many will be from countries that America has invaded and killed civilians from. Can you not see how it'd be kinda wrong for Bungie to celebrate that?

There's no need to worry about mate. What Bungo will do to counteract all the criticism about the Veterans Day Cop Out is the following. They will make available a Destiny Toaster in the shape of Zavalas head and made out of the cheapest material available. It will be on sale for zillions of dollars out of which 0.25 percent will go to the next minority org that raises its head. The remainder will vanish into the Bungo coffers...there's true charity for you. The toaster will produce nicely toasted bread with the image of a closed fist with middle finger extended to the upright. It'll be lapped up. This world is so knackered up now it's sickening. I'm waiting for the ' We support legalised marriage to a Horse' campaign to start....
