Glacial Harvest - Seeing new behavior since last week. Bugged or working as intended?

I'm seeing different behavior this week than I was before the Tuesday update with Glacial Harvest and I'm curious as to if it was bugged before and was fixed or if there is a new bug. In either case, I didn't see anything about it in the patch notes. Background: All of the "harvests" grant shards, but only the hunter and titan tooltips say they give melee energy. Hunter - https://www.light.gg/db/items/1920417385/grim-harvest/ The lock one just states it grants shards and will grant more based on the enemy type. Lock - https://www.light.gg/db/items/2651551055/glacial-harvest/ Anyway, I'm playing around with a silly melee-all-the-things with 100% uptime build and I noticed something funky. Last week, for example, when I was picking up my shards or a hunter's I play with, I'd see the little buff indicator that said Glacial Harvest or Grim Harvest, and if you paid attention, could visually see an increase in melee energy. Now, I get that from the hunter friend's, but picking up my own shards seems to do nothing. No buff indicator, no visual change to melee energy. To test further, I swapped around my fragments and added the one that gives an over shield for picking up shards. I get that buff from my own shards just fine. So, back to my original question, is anyone else seeing this behavior? Was it broken before and has been fixed? It would be weird for a lock aspect to behave differently than the other two, buuuuut the tooltip technically doesn't say anything about giving melee energy, so I have no idea. Perhaps this is related to the solstice event? Since it is statis week and there is the buff for that, maybe it is causing issues?

  • Is there anyone available that can confirm they are seeing the same thing? Spending time grinding out all the aspects and then specific fragments for a shard-based melee build, only for a big to be introduced that makes shards not work correctly really sucks, and I’m trying to get traction on this so bungie sees it.
