Great news! I ran my first Deep Stone Crypt today! While the raid itself was a fun experience with my clanmates, the loot certainly wasn't. I only got a Bequest, a bond, and three pairs of boots, all no more than 58 stats, and that felt like a major slap in the face. Not only because I didn't get any of the good weapons, but also because the armor sucked.
That's my experience. I would definitely run the raid again for better loot and because I enjoyed it.

Where is none of the above? This state system is rigged by using mobility to manipulate stats and they deliberately created a hell of a lot of gear that drops with crapy stats with their oh-so-special RNG that drops multiple duplicates. The system needs to be removed and go back to how things actually worked for the game back in D1 or, improve the system to where stats actually matter that actually improves the player's experience. You know, where the player actually had that (player's choice) not a company manipulating the system to hold players back because they refuse to create decent content that is replayable content?

60 means nothing. Now if they are guranteed two stats over 25 now we are talking.
-
Voting no....translation: I don't raid 🤣🤣🤣🤣
-
should add dungeon armor to that wish also.
-
60 minimum should be guaranteed with a moderate chance of 65+. 65+ should be guaranteed from raid challenges
-
There are sources of high stat gear that will be Transmogable with raid gear so you should be good. That’s also their mentality I’m sure.
-
try running pit of heresy my lowest piece was a 63 and highest 66 1 fireteam friend got 67 from pit . from the dsc my highest has been 62
-
Raid and the lost sector exotics
-
My usual rule of thumb of how I think gear is: - stats lower than 50 is a no go unless it jacks up 1 or 2 stats like the vendor rolls or that it is for light-power leveling - 50 is meh unless jacks up stats - 55 not average but not the worst. - 60 getting somewhere but so close - 65 the loot I sometimes seek if building something - stats above 65 is noteworthy of keeping easily - 70 and above is unicorn levels of godroll, most realistic stat number drop to be godroll typically is 67 - rarely 69.
-
Thing is what bungie sees and players see as high stats may be different. For players high seems to start at 60 but for bungie that could be 58.

Edited by Snafu Gundam: 5/10/2021 1:28:26 PMWhy? Raids are some of the easiest "endgame" content. Especially when you have everyone on the team well above the recommended light level. If every other "endgame" activity has to grind for high stat rolls so should raids.
-
Especially for Vault of Glass!
-
Not all, but a greatly increased chance for sure.
-
Well done. 100pct agree high stat armour should always drop in raids.
-
ALL armour should be 60+ stats. Forcing high roll gear behind endgame activities is just a pointless and arbitrary way to gatekeep gear that already has a ridiculous amount of RNG behind it, and it means that 90% of the armour we get is completely useless. Every single crucible/vanguard/gambit engram, every single world drop, everything from umbral engrams, from dreaming city even, it's all useless to anyone remotely committed to the game and this breaks the loot system. When people ask for meaningful loot, this is what they mean... just make every armour piece guaranteed to drop at 60+.
-
Minimum 65 would be appropriate. It's Raid armor. If you don't get high stat armor in such activities where else?
-
well, it takes like 30 mins to complete and you do get alot of loot if you do 3 x characters a week, just keep running it, you only have done 1 clear. just do your characters 3 times a week and before you know it you will have decent gear.
-
At the end of the day, do the stats really matter? it's just a piece of armor. My perspective is: if something is not satisfying and pleasant to enjoy, shouldn't it be worthwhile? It does suck running ENDGAME CONTENT and getting shite for it, I hear you loud and clear. What's worse about this, is this season and the one before had god roll armor pieces in the season pass. Now, I have no reason to play, because I have all I need lol. This allows me to take time I would have spent in D2 on much better things, and experiences. All in the all: the consensus is clear. Gambling can ruin your life.

Nothing like getting raid armor with a total stat roll of 55 and the stat distribution in all the wrong places 😂
-
Please
-
So sensitive. If only you were allowed out at recess, you’d really know what a slap in the face felt like. It’s a shame that you never got to learn and think not getting something handed to you in a video game is similar.
-
No. Chasing a random roll is content. Enjoy. Buy more silver.
-
You're fixated on the wrong thing. The distribution of the stats is what's important, not the overall number. I have several pieces that are 58 or 59s that are masterworked because the stats are in the right places and compliment other armor I collected for a build. I have something close to 50 DSC clears and I've even turned in spoils for armor in the past. Guess what, across 3 characters, not one of those pieces fit into a build I made, even the few that dropped at 67... Good armor can be found anywhere in Destiny but no matter what your playing, the stat distributions are always RNG. Good luck and congrats on your first clear!

Edited by Kiro - 13: 5/9/2021 9:19:32 PMOnly 4(23 excluding my self and the op) of the people that responded to this post actually require/need 61 pt plus gear to upgrade their armor. and 4 said people are in the least well informed(optimized with half stat mods and protective light on their pve sets). I was interested to see what kind of people are complaining about the system. sure thoes 4 people are more or less at a brick wall and need to really decently rolled gear to move up. The rest of you... mostly in season pass welfare armor that have no reason to complain because 58 point gear is an upgrade for you. you just dont want to use it or over look it because my bet is here you miond set is "moar is better". Big shiney things always seem to entice the foolish.
