There should be an automatized way to bann players that won all of their matches because the enemy team magically left the game

 • if you're talking about win trading it's not technically cheating, and it's a victimless crime really

 • So no one is affected in pvp by the weapons they "earned" from exploiting?

 • no? Trials weapons aren't like old pinnacles where the only counter is the weapon itself and a more skilled player

 • Yep. Kinda like how people in government use taxpayers money to buy cars and second houses.

 • how? You know how win-trading works right?
Usually 2 pre made teams match each other and one team backs out before the match starts, giving the others a free win, and no penalty to the ones leaving
It doesn't involve outsiders, and never hurts them in any way. In this case, all the win traders were on the same unused server, full loading into the games but under mutually agreed terms. These guys were doing it for free to benefit each other, but in any other case it would be between friends or as a paid service, the ones you constantly see advertised on the fireteam finder. The most common way to do it is to have the host on either team using a VPN, both set to the same coordinates on Earth, usually in a place where you won't be matched with anyone else based on your region (like in the middle of the ocean or Antarctica). The second, less consistent way is to have 2 host in the same region launch the game at the same time, but this does not work great for trials

 • Sounds like something a win trader would stay. First of you’re getting free powerful drops and a pinnacle and ascent shards whilst others are grinding away. Week one after doing all my powerful drops and pinnacles I’m trying to doing 1330 empire hunts struggling whilst 30+ levels under whilst you’re getting free pinnacles ? Next there’s a 100% win rate We all know Bungie’s matchmaking want everyone at a 50/50 It also screws the matchmaking up even in modes with CBMM. I don’t want a bot with adept weapons bottom fraging and making our team lose because he’s in too deep. I’m not saying im a good crucible player but it’s so obvious when you kill someone if they earned or cheated their way to their title or weapons.

 • it's more so for progress and loot rather than higher level gear. You can reach the powerful cap in a week, pinnacle in maybe two with good RNG. Second, it doesn't make you a better player, just takes out the time and luck of matching tryhards who could easily ruin your card on the higher levels. Even competent players can abuse a broken meta, which is not Trials weapons most times. I don't see how cheesing wins affects matchmaking either, Bungo seems to just throw anyone who joins the same region server into a match together, not at all based on connection or any other factors, the teams seem to be the only thing that's sorted.
