#CancelTheSunset It goes against the best thing of supporting a game for a long time: having lots of content. I have friends starting with the game now, curious about the F2P version, and the entire base game, which was great, is gone. Bungie, players paid money for that content you are taking away. The game feels incomplete now, despite having another expansion, and the new player experience is miserable and disjointed as a result.

And the best part, the true salt in the wound, the part that warms my cold dead heart, is after you get it they will sunset it in about 12 months! Ha. Hahaha. Hahahahahaha! Love, The Devil

Honestly, I’m okay with Sunset. I get why they’re doing it. It’s shifty, but it works. Where I can say I’m less comfortable is them reissuing gear. Especially gear that we all just got rid of. The moon stuff, I get that we didn’t have for long, but I wish they’d just make gear we have increase rather than regrind stuff I just deleted last season. If that were the case I wouldn’t have deleted it. As for Dreaming City, I’m pretty sure the Awoken have more gear than just those. Maybe, since Veriks is back, link him in. If you want to reissue, bring back the Prison of Elders, Queens Guard or the Fallen themed gear from D1. If not, just make somthing else.

24 RepliesThey don't need to cancel it, they need to fix their terrible implementation. No matter how many people will argue otherwise, powercreep was an issue that exists, even on regular old legendary weapons. Certain perk combos would just never be beat unless they nerfed those perks HARD, which would make the entire game less enjoyable simply in that those perks were worse off. The big example is outlaw rampage. Why run anything that isn't outlaw rampage, or some combo of "reload perk, damage perk?" And if they couldn't get us to use anything that wasn't that, it would get stale. And it was. It really was getting stale. Now there's a legitimate reason to run a lot of the weapons with the cool new perks. Those old combos don't exist, at least not nearly to the same capacity, and there is lots of interest in new perks. You wouldn't see people interested in using the new perks on the dsc weapons if all those incredibly powerful old guns weren't around. The issue is that they swung the hammer way too hard. You will find barely anyone who disagrees with that.

At this point Bungie can't expect much when it comes to making any new games. I won't be buying it. They really have to pull their pants up if they want any hope of their fan base to recover. They really need a win.

6 RepliesWe lost 300 guns, over about 5 guns. Sunset the 5 guns that were broken or nerf them into the ground. Then all they had to do was, leave the guns we had and then do what their doing. Reissue weapons with new perks and then if we wanted to chase them it was optional and not forced. Guess what, if reissuing wasn't forced down are throats, most of us would look forward to chasing old weapons with new perks. Or do what they said, make guns with great perks and then sunset. So far all we got are more of the same perks.

Sunsetting is a gross and lazy solution to a problem that could easily be fixed otherwise.

Sunset suck. And if people think it's necessary then the game sucks. Making you farm everything again won't fix it. I don't believe Bungie will revert it now. Next installment maybe, when they realize how many people they are losing. I'm not purchasing next installment unless it's reverted. Once I finish beyond light I'll check the game in 2022.

Sunsetting should most certainly be cancelled. So much time spent earning the few guns that actually look decent and have perks that I like. Knowing that the gear has an expiration date, it really takes away my urge to grind for anything. Also, it's a huge slap in the face that they're now bringing back Dreaming City and ugly-*ss Moon gear. You earned it once.....now earn it again! F you Bungie.
