If you still play or want to play the Xbox 360 Halo's, you have one year left to fully enjoy them. For those who no longer or never owned these awesome classic titles and want to play them before the plug is pulled forever, you will need a physical copy because they are no longer for sale as of December 18th 2020.

When I saw that I was shocked that you could still play it on the 360.

You can still play them offline though right?

Well that’s sad. But do people really still use the OG online services anyway? MCC is pretty superb now, i can play most of the online content I want with that from all of the older halos. Only games that will be significantly affected will be Halo Wars and Spartan Assault, neither of which I’ve played online so I don’t know what the player base is like these days anyway. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole 360 online system gets shut down soon, can’t be that many players except on the odd game that isn’t back-compat or wasn’t carried over into the newer store.

When they shut down the original Halo 2 servers, it felt like very premature. Halo 2 still had a player base back then, and there was no alternative to playing H2 online besides Halo 2 Vista (which kinda sucked). It doesn't feel that way this time around. Thr original Halo 3 servers are basically dead. Last time I played if I couldn't even find a game in social slayer. And the MCC is great now, so we can still enjoy Halo 3 any time we want. I'll try to be there for the final days of H3 just like I did with H2. One last opportunity to show off my Brigadier General lol

So the credit system for Reach will forever be gone. I had a love/hate relationship with it, but I'll miss it either way. So many memories between Halo 3 and Reach, gonna have to hop on the 360 versions for old time's sake. The menu music will probably hit me good, too.

I just saw this on Twitter. It's inevitable but man, I feel old. It's been online such a long time, Halo 3 Online is where I started getting into Online Gaming with my friends. I'll probably dust off my old Xbox 360 and play a few more games and do some screenshots for final memories.
