A young woman enters the bar. She wears plain and casual clothing, and a white scarf rests on her shoulders. Her medium-length red hair is pulled back behind her. She takes a seat at a booth a bit of a distance away, admiring the horn of plenty before her.

“A bit, but it ain’t bad if you know how to fight!”
-
Red nods and stares at the corner of the table blankly. Then her eyes lift back up to Dal. “Fair. And what happened with those... horsemen? Did you hear about that? Do those happen often?”
-
Edited by Dislay: 11/24/2020 4:59:56 AM“I heard, but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well enough to help with their attack. Attacks happen pretty often, but most aren’t such large scale.”
-
Her features soften even more at Dal’s answer, and a bright grin grows on her face. “Oh, great! Sorry about all of the questions, but thank you for answering them.”
-
“Hey it’s no problem! I like helping people out!” *Dally chuckles a little.*
-
“That’s... a refreshing quality. Outside of my family, Im not very used to it.” She takes a quick bite of her food.
-
“Really? Hm...” *Dal quietly thinks for a moment than shakes her head.*
-
Red blinks. “What’s up?”
-
“Oh, it’s nothing, nothing at all.” *She isn’t very convincing.*
-
“Right. And fire isn’t hot.” She crosses her arms over the table. “There’s obviously something on your mind.”
-
“It’s alright, what you said just made me think about some stuff, let’s just move on.”
-
Red nods. “Sure. Anything you want to touch on?”
-
“Mhm! I’ve talked a lot about Offtopic, but I haven’t really learned much about you.”
-
Red clears her throat, and her knee begins bouncing under the table as before. “Right. What do you want to know?”
-
Edited by Dislay: 11/24/2020 6:01:26 AM“Whatever you’re comfortable talking about. I... understand wanting to keep some stuff to yourself.”
-
Her eyes drift to the corner of the table again. She replies at length, choosing her words carefully. “All right... uh, long story short, I lived with a family of five, not including myself. We had a house on a quiet street; then things changed, and I’m trying to help ‘em out.” Her hand brushes her white scarf. “Not sure if that’s what you were looking for.”
-
*Dal nods* “Do you need any help?”
-
“No,” she says quickly, breaking her gaze off of the corner. “Thanks for the offer, but I don’t know half of what is going on right now, anyway.”
-
“Alright. Let’s change the subject again, sorry if I made you uncomfortable.” “Feel free to ask me whatever you want, I’ll answer as truthfully as I can.”
-
“Nah, it’s fine, just reminded me of them is all.” She smiles in confirmation. “Are you a full-time explorer, or do you do other things along with that?”
-
“Well, I work in a laboratory as an assistant, though it’s not my favorite job and I’m affiliated with a group of heroes called The Order of the Papillon!”
-
“Heroes,” Red repeats, remembering Blaze had mentioned the term. “And ‘The Order of the Papillon,’ huh? What do they do?”
-
“They’re a group that deals with some of the threats to Offtopic! It’s pretty interesting living and working around the group!”
-
“Well, I guess that makes sense. From what little I’ve heard, the ‘heroes’ here are pretty active. What an interesting name—Papillon.”
-
“Mhm! I’m not 100% sure what it means, but it’s a neat name!”
