Beyond Light saying Not Installed after playing first few missions

Today my cousin and I were battling the first boss of the Beyond Light campaign when both of our screens froze and so we closed the game. When he tried to open the game again and play the mission it said he need to buy the DLC again. This is only happening with his warlock and none of his other characters are having issues playing through the campaign. Hes tried turning his Xbox completely off and reinstalling all of the game content but is still seeing this issue. How can this be resolved without buying the DLC again?

  • From the XBox Dashboard select manage games and add-ons for Destiny 2. Does it show Beyond Light installed? If it does, from that same menu uninstall BL, then re-install it and try again. If it doesn't show BL installed, does it list BL in the section for waiting to install? If so, go ahead and see if you can trigger it to install from that menu.
