As a gambit player, and one who recently went against ll 1000s as a 960 just to see the difference, using throttled gear will be a death sentence and a wet noodle slap when being invaded/invading.
You will NOT be able to use old throttled gear in gambit without taking a HUGE hit on your survivability and damage output during invasions.
Its one of the reasons why i quit.
