Just wanted to let the Dev Team know that the recent changes in the 2.8.1 Patch affected the gameplay/utility of Severance Enclosure.
Before Patch: Every powered melee would trigger an explosion, as stated on the exotic.
After Patch: There seems to be an internal, unseen cooldown implemented. If too many powered melees are done in succession (i.e. Knockout kills on Bottom Tree Striker) the explosion will not activate on the later melees.
Attached is a video demonstrating this. Specifically, pay attention to the part with the psions at the end, where a powered melee is done on the first of a group of psions, while the powered melee into the clustered group directly afterwards does not cause an explosion until another punch is used. Knockout buff timer is still active, so an explosion should have occurred.
Please either mark this down as needing fixing, or make an official patch note about the state of the exotic. Thank you for your time and your future help!
