Is Horizon Zero Dawn as generic as Ubisoft's open world games?
I'm thinking of buying it, but from the gameplay trailers I've watched it's looks more or less generic (explore, climb, kill mechanic dino, a bit of story, repeat).
Makes me worried it's as generic as Ubisoft's open world games (Far Cry, AC). Far Cry bores the shit out of me and the last AC game I played (Origins) bored me after only a few days.

Everyone told me the combat was great, but to me it was use detective mode and shoot the weak spot. Some enemies had awkward weak spots to spice it up. Just another open world game in which I felt like I was just running errands. What really made me put it down was that I felt like I was in a cutscenr every 5 minutes, and the flood of boring stealth segments. Most people seem to like it, though, so it probably gets better I guess?
