Director's Cut - Shortcut Comments and Feedback

This post is mostly about giving feedback and suggestions to the "Shortcut" section of the recent Directors Cut post. Shortcut #1: Factions While I agree with the decision to not bring back Faction Rallies as an event is a good decision, and understand that the growing cast of NPCs to keep up with is becoming too large to manage, I don't agree with the decision to cut New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and FWC out of the picture as a "solution". Part of the reason armor and weapons from them haven't been used is because they haven't been relevant and obtainable since Forsaken launched. It's a start by putting them in the legendary engram pool, but I think a much better solution would be a system that pre-dates Destiny 2. Instead of leaving it up to RNG if my Titan gets that sweet New Monarchy helmet why not go back to Destiny 1 faction weekly pledge with a Destiny 2 Token currency format. On Tuesday, you log in with your character and pledge to whatever faction you feel your character would associate with. Then, as you complete strikes, pvp matches and such, you would receive faction tokens similar to Vanguard or Crucible Tokens that could be used to receive reward packages from the Faction you are aligned with. Utilize already existing systems of reward because if it isn't broken, then why fix or change it? The NPC faction characters don't have to tell a narrative at this point for me, just be there to reward me me with their faction loot when they take my tokens. Instead, faction look is being left up to RNG, taking the RPG eliminate out of an "action-RPG" game. Shortcut #2: Bright Engrams. Fine to take them out of being purchased from Eververse. I'm not certain they were a high purchase item from many players that have been invested in the game as long as I have, but it was nice the option was there. Though, if you are removing them from the silver store, will they be more frequently given in the season pass instead of every 5 levels? This would seem to be a fair trade off. I'm not saying every level or every other level should reward a Bright Engram, but every 5 levels seems a bit much if the other location to obtain them is no longer available. Maybe every 3 levels after level 100? Just an suggestion and food for thought. Shortcut #3: New Light, New intro. I can't really comment on this since I don't fall into this category, so you guys do whatever you think is best. Shortcut #4: Questlog Go for it. The more organized my questlog can be the better. Though, if I did have one suggestion, why not make bounties and quests obtainable from orbit instead of only the tower. Many RPGs have a system that allows you to pick up bounties or quests from a menu or "Bounty Board". Why not implement the same concept into Destiny. Instead of flying forever into the Tower, couldn't I just get a radio transmission from Zavala letting me know the bounties for the day/week? Then select what I want that moves the bounties into my Questlog. Adding another tab strictly for obtaining Tower bounties gets me logged in and running strikes in a much faster time than waiting around to load into the tower. Would get Guardians moving around the system much faster than before and improve our efficiency. The tower will still be there to collect rewards from quests and engrams, but bounties can be improved by implementing a one stop shop for all your bounty obtaining needs in the menu from orbit. I've no idea if these comments will be seen by anyone at the studio, but I had to get them out of my head and onto a forum for public through, criticism and of course the inevitable troll to spit on. I hope there are some out there that agree with me and find these thoughts to be insightful and if anyone has any other constructive criticism for the devs and community managers, feel free to comment. I'll continue to play and enjoy my time among the system.
