An idea for next season, or the next

Seasons of Dawn and Undying have both had very similar seasonal activities. Both have reused the idea of the Menagerie (roughly). As an alternative for seasons to come, I think it would be different and enjoyable to have a new way to obtain seasonal weapons. Rather than having a Menagerie like activity, we could obtain weapon frames from a vendor (similar to the obelisks and Black Armoury). These would, however, be completed in a different manner. At current, Timelost weapon frames give a random goal to do, and then you get the weapon. My suggestion is that instead, we would obtain the frame, and with it, we would obtain the weapon we wish to get. This weapon would start with no perks, and instead have objectives to complete to gain the perks from the perk pool (similar to how we all got Rose, but with random rolls), but these would only complete while using the weapon. The objectives would be tied to the weapon, and not a separate quest or bounty, similar to that of the armour sets we get in an event (I don't remember the name of the event. We are given an armour set which we upgrade through objectives). In addition, the goals would gain extra progress in the seasonal activity, which would be a horde mode activity. Rather than an objective based Menagerie, it would be simply an ongoing mission that anyone can join at any time, and leave at any time. The rewards would scale off of how long you are in the mission, and how much you do (so someone who got 210 kills and did 60% of the overall damage would get substantially better rewards than the AFK guy in the corner). When you leave the mission, you gain X number of random legendary world drops (based on how much you did), so that our time in the mission is well spent. This way, we would be spending a lot of time in the mission, yes, but at the end, we would not only get our seasonal weapon done, we would get a chance at (for example) a god rolled Old Fashioned, or a great 55+ leg piece you've been looking for for a month and a half. On top of all this, this would make the speed at which you gain stuff scale off of difficulty. I mean that if you want to get the most rewards at the end, you would want to bring lots of incomplete weapon frames, and use them. This would get a lot of weapons at the end, but it would force you to use weaker weapons (because they have no perks).
