The amount of lag when trying to equip armor mods, weapon mods, shaders on PS4 is disgusting, and it's getting worse with each update that is released. Not only that, the loading times are beyond a joke and it's making playing the game a nightmare for PS4.
This needs to be addressed before it becomes totally unplayable on console.
It was never this bad and it seems like Bungie just don't give a damn about it.
I've played destiny since the original alpha test back in destiny 1. I love playing destiny but all the issues are really off putting.
Sort it out Bungie for God sake

We noted this in a TWAB recently, but the team is looking into performance issues around the mod screen for a future update. When we have more info, we'll give you a status update.
-
We need Karen to have a chat with the manager.
-
Everytime I see a post like this it helps remind me I got better things to do than play Destiny 2 right now.
-
Been loading in since reset, 16 minutes and counting....Zzzzzzz
-
As a pinnacle ranking/top level/professional gamer I see nothing wrong with load time/lag. Maybe you should check your internet connection/be able to afford internet worthy of gaming. 🤷🏻🤦👉🏻$$$$. PS I’m a D1 pre alpha vet💕👍👉🏻🔥🔥
-
On the bright side, loading times are long enough for a power nap.

Edited by SwankyButters: 2/3/2020 12:49:58 AMI recently bought a External SSD and plugged it into my xbox and most things load SO much faster. Something I would suggest if you can afford it. It helps so much. You plug it in and put the game on the SSD, there are tutorials on line on how to do that. I assure you, it makes a big difference. Oh I wanted to add, it would be nice if Bungie could fix this problem but until l then... SSD.
-
I have an external ssd, this allowed load times in the 36-45s range, each update slowed it down so a copy to disk and back again helps. But, this latest update now take 15 minites to get in to the tower straight after loading, I have a 250Mbps internet that is delivering that speed so it not internet related.
-
I'll say it again an External SSD does help if you have a good connection and set it up right. It doesn't fix all the problems for sure (that needs to be a bungies thing) but it's a lot less annoying. Tower load times can still be long but sometimes they are faster, not sure the reason but there it's a mixed bag.
-
eververse is causing the performance issues, it needs to be removed
-
Yea something needs to be done aboht co sike loading times. They did a fix for loading times in D1. I know D2 is a bigger game, but man does it need some help with the loading
-
The amount of lag in pvp...
-
Been loading into the tower now for 7 minutes...... still going.
-
This is the one reason I stopped. My console with ssd cannot deal with it anymore. The game is too big.
-
This is a Bungie problem. Bungie don’t seem to think it’s as big an issue as many of us do though. Doubt any fix/improvement is going to occur as a result. Bungie Focus is on the new IP. The Netease game, not on improving D2.
-
WOW, I thought it was just me! But after the last update I noticed it takes FOREVER to load into the tower, I have 18 days to go to be able to reactivate cross save and can not wait. PC is SO much faster and looks 100 times better.
-
Honestly, I thought of this, and just put crossplay on my friends account, at his house. PC is much better, and PS4 is now terrible. Bungie did this, and there might not be a turn back. My advice: crossplay...
-
Yah you might as well forget trying to customize or build a load in the tower. Been like this for a long while now. Even in orbit, it’s laggy when messing around with mods and shaders.
-
My game completely froze for about 30 seconds when I was trying to change mods in a crucible match and I died three times as I changed mods, its just crazy.
-
Agreed: loading times to destinations, including the tower, and all activities had increased a lot recently.
-
An SSD will help to a degree but will not solve the problem. The problem is on bungie's side. I've been on a internal SSD on my xbox and ever since shadowkeep dropped there has been lag issues on the character screen when trying to load or view weapons, mods or even armor
-
I sure console have limited hardware I recommend to get PC I never have any issues with loading
-
I was watching the Super Bowl last night. Each 30second commercial cost about 5.6 million dollars.. I happened to be sitting in orbit at the time and so I decided to load into the tower.. lol. 33.6 million dollars later, I arrived in the tower. It certainly is getting long and painful, and in that time you can't really do much with your character as it takes forever to load shaders or try them on, update your mods.. no lol.. definitely not.
-
It’s almost as if the loading times to do anything with have been deliberately tampered with to justify removing content isn’t it
-
Same here. The game completely froze for me at one point. Must have been about 10-15 seconds.

So pretty much negating nightstalkers.
