I'm still sure the majority of these guys are just trolls. Anyone who actually genuinely believes it must have a major mental disorder
Of course. It's common sense that light refracting over large bodies of water would allow visibility beyond the Earth's curvature.

lol it's common sense the earth is a sphere at least 🤣 details like that are irrelevant

You should Google Minovsky Effect.

Edited by SWED420: 11/30/2019 5:01:57 PMI don't see what evidence you can provide to make me think flat earthers ain't raving lunatics. They are, to genuinely believe the earth is flat is a clear sign of a sever learning disability 🤷♂️ Physics is an amazing thing you can't use one interesting effect to justify a believe that -blam!- 😂

Especially one fabricated to refute the flat Earth claim, as I did with the Minovsky Effect. My intention was for someone to call me out on my blatant bullshit. The Minovsky Effect is a reference to the Mobile Suit Gundam anime. People will believe anything if it's technical enough. I've even come up with further explanation of the fictitious effect using trigonometric concepts and particle behaviour. It's surprisingly easy to do.
